We lost Eitan Beth-Halachmy.  He was a great horseman and they broke the mold when they made him… I do have to admit my favorite memories are not horseback, although he did judge my qualifying test for my level 2 Clinician ride at Horse Expo which is a cherished memory! From harassing a certain “Australian clinician” and telling him “No Donut For You!” To scooter races down the barn isles. He embraced my tattoos, and Photoshop tattoos on himself in our pictures. My last sleeveless ride photo was taken by him. I say the last because we were having so much fun that they had to create a dress code rule with a 6 point penalty after me . He did many clinics at my place and the time lapse video is one night we all stayed up late riding and partying in my arena. He made me feel welcome and always pushed my horsemanship. Thank you, Debbie Beth-Halachmy for sharing him with us my heart goes to you I will forever hear him calling “Leen! for Lyn Ringrose-Moe Thx to Morgan Horse and if it wasn’t for our favorite breed I might’ve never met him. #6 Salute’s You Sir 🫡 RIDE on Eitan RIde on 🌈🦄❤️‍🔥

We lost a good one John Saint Ryan struck so many chords in my heart. Horses, Music, a love for life with infectious joy. He was a wonderful human. A kind and considerate teacher who always made us smile. Thank you John we will never forget…. Ride on sir ride on 🦄

Our offsite event season has come a wonderful close with Calisto’s Rawking Promise “Jagger” enjoying his first show classes in his life under saddle. The smile on both of our faces was the best prize of all! Jagger showed as a 4 year old in two Partnership Under Saddle Classes at Cowboy Dressage World Finals. He placed 1st with scores of 65 in each class. Smiles ALL around! & Jaggers Breeder Shannon Promise Farms 🖤💎.

Ranch History! Tony founded Rawking Horse Ranch at the time it was called Silverdollar Ranch. I hope he is looking down on us as we spread the Californio Traditions carrying on his path.  I just love that he was a Hackamore master as it’s my favorite as well. 🤠❤️‍🔥

DAY IN HISTORY | Tony Amaral - He did to the hackamore world what Casey Tibbs did for bronco riding. He changed the style. Tony added the finesse, lightness, and the supple feel that we all look for still. Even by today’s high standards, a hackamore horse trained by Tony is the epitome of perfection.

Tony’s parents were emigrants from Portugal who started a cattle and dairy ranch. Tony came from an era where snaffle bits were only used for work horses. Then, cow horses were ridden only a handful of times in a snaffle before moving quickly into a hakamore or “jaquima” as early California State Fair, which at the time was the largest show in the state. They made reserve champion and Tony was on his way to becoming one of the greatest horseman of all time.

Tony had become interested in the Hackamore horse. He learned from any man willing to share his knowledge, but in the end, he turned to the greatest showman of the reined horse of that era, Charlie Maggini, 1929 World Champion All-around Cowboy. Tony went on to train more champion hackamore horses than any other trainer of the Pacific Coast.

Tony was devoted to upgrading the horses and their styles. He was the Master hackamore man of his decade. He spread the California Bridle Horse and Hackamore tradition across the nation, making the East understand that there was a better way.

He set a record, which still stands today, by winning the Hackamore championship a three-year old, Docs Top Doli.

Good News First?
1. 🖤 New Morgan C**t! Jaggers Nephew who looks just like him was born. Welcome my sweet baby boy!
2. 💙 New Pony! Meet Suede 3 yrs Black Roan Welsh Cob. He will be here next week!
3. 🧡 Mango broke himself… we think he bonked his head… Remember in May his face swelled up? Then he started showing neurologic issues. He has shown great improvement over the last 30 days under the care of UC Davis with Top Neurologist Monica Aleman She and I are both hopeful for a recovery. Please send healing love his way.
4. 🥕 Ari is for Sale. Don’t miss out on this amazing horse! Side saddle, ranching, roping, ride him anywhere…. I am downsizing my herd literally… ponies work better for my program right now. Well if they don’t bonk their heads!
All of this has been happening during spring Ranch chores and it’s been crazy. I got Dust Off down, having a hoe down 🎶here July 6. I hope to see you all soon! 🦄🤠
