We just wanted to slide into your feed to remind you that we have a lot of amazing dogs waiting to meet you. Here are a few to pique your interest. 🐶🐾

Tyr is an active pitty who loves snuggles and attention. He takes to training well and already knows "sit," but has a rambunctious side and would need an adopter who is willing to train him as he believes he is still a puppy. He seems interested in meeting other dogs and is overall a friendly and outgoing boy.

Bode is a lively, curious dog with a lot of personality! He enjoys exploring his surroundings, chasing toys, and relaxing once he settles in. With an experienced home that can provide structure and outlets for his energy, Bode is ready to be a fun and devoted companion.

Barney may take a little time to feel comfortable but is playful and curious once out of his shell. He enjoys attention, leans into pets, and happily takes treats. Barney is good with other dogs and prefers gentle and easy-going playmates. He would do best in a calmer home that can provide enrichment, exercise, stability, and a reliable routine that will help him decompress from his stressful shelter stay.

Buster is very sweet and appreciates neck scratches and treats. He loves hanging out and playing with Phoebe. They would thrive in a patient, quieter home with each other where they can continue building confidence and settling into a routine. These two cats are ready to fill your home with love and laughter!

Start your weekend off right by coming to meet some of our adorable shelter pets. Joshua, Reese, and Augie are just three of the many dogs and cats we have waiting to meet their new best friends. 🐶

Joshua is a sweet and gentle natured boy still getting used to kennel life. While he may come off as a bit unsure at first, he warms up quickly and is playful and affectionate. He is still a puppy and will need an adopter that will provide careful introductions to new things and help him build confidence in the big wide outside world. He is curious, loves to explore, and social. He is also treat motivated, making it likely he will pick up on training quickly.

Augie is a fun-loving, active pup who’s always ready for an adventure! He enjoys exploring, playing, and soaking up affection from his people. He may take a moment to warm up but treats and a gentle approach win him over quickly. Augie is full of enthusiasm and would thrive in a home that can match his energy with plenty of exercise, playtime, and enrichment.

Reese is a sweet, social husky that is friendly with both humans and other dogs. He is active and loves to explore. Rare for a husky, he is very treat motivated, which should make training a breeze! He would be a great match for an active adopter who is looking for an adventure buddy.

Come meet all of the available pets at our shelter. We're open all weekend, from 10am - 5pm. To view all of our available pets online, visit www.ccasd.org. 🐾

We have some pretty awesome dogs at our shelter just waiting to meet you. Today we're highlighting Frank, Waffles, and Barney. 🐶

Frank is a curious boy who loves to sniff and explore his environment. He is a gentle giant who loves cuddles, pets, and affection. He is good with other dogs and knows basic commands like "sit" and "down." He is an active dog that is looking for a family able to provide plenty of enrichment an exercise.

Waffles is a sensitive, soft-hearted pup who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. She has shown interest in toys, can be affiliative with people once given patience and space, and is already demonstrating that she wants to connect—she just needs the right environment to help her confidence grow. Waffles will likely thrive with a calm, understanding home that can provide reassurance, positive reinforcement, and continued confidence-building. With time, patience, and kindness, this sweet girl has the potential to blossom.

Barney is a shy but affectionate boy who warms up to people with patience and gentle handling. He may take a little time to feel comfortable but is playful and curious once out of his kennel. He enjoys attention, leans into pets, and happily takes treats. Barney is playful with dog friends once comfortable. He does best in a calm, patient home where he can build confidence at his own pace.

Come and meet all of our available pets. You can also view all of our available animals online at www.ccasd,org. We're open seven days a week, from 10am - 5pm (10am - 7pm on Wednesdays). Meet your new best friend today!🐾
