A Quick Update Regarding Cattery Visits 🤍

Over time, we’ve become a little more relaxed with our visitor policy, but we’ve realized that we need to return to the guidelines we originally had in place.

Moving forward, we will only be scheduling visits with families who have a specific kitten in mind and are genuinely ready and committed to welcoming a Maine C**n into their home.

Our cattery is not a pet store or an open-house environment where visitors can come simply to browse kittens. Every person who enters our space brings potential exposure to our cats and kittens, many of whom are young and still developing their immune systems. Protecting their health and maintaining a clean, controlled environment will always come first.

There is also a tremendous amount of time and work that goes into caring for our cats, kittens, and property each day. We are always happy to spend that time with families who are seriously considering one of our kittens, answer questions, and allow you to meet the kitten you are interested in, but we can no longer accommodate casual visits from those who are undecided or simply wanting to come look.

Before requesting a visit, please be sure that:

• You have a specific available kitten you are seriously interested in.
• You have reviewed our pricing, policies, and adoption information.
• You are prepared to move forward if that kitten is the right fit for your family.

This policy is not meant to make the process difficult. It allows us to protect our cats and kittens, give serious families our full attention, and use our time where it matters most.

We appreciate everyone who respects our home, our cattery, and the tremendous amount of work that goes into raising these babies. 🤍🐾

We have three absolutely precious females still available at Sovereign Maine C**ns, and I honestly cannot believe these beautiful girls haven’t been claimed yet. 🤍

Each one has her own sweet personality, gorgeous Maine C**n features, and so much love to give. They’ve been raised with lots of attention, handling, and socialization and are ready to find the families they were meant for. 🐾

Safe to say, the kittens love when the kids come to visit! They get lots of socialization, attention, affection, and clearly, they soak up every minute of it. 🐾🥰

One of the biggest things I’ve learned as a breeder is patience. ❤️

Breeding isn’t about rushing kittens out the door or making the quickest sale. It’s about taking the time to make sure each kitten is ready physically, emotionally, and socially. Finding the right home, not just the first available home.

Sometimes that means waiting a little longer. Sometimes it means saying no to a placement that doesn’t feel right. And sometimes it means keeping a kitten longer than originally planned because that’s what is best for them.

At the end of the day, these are living, breathing little souls we’ve brought into this world and raised in our home. Our responsibility doesn’t end when someone sends a deposit.

The goal is to place each kitten where they can flourish, thrive, be understood, and be loved for the rest of their life.

That matters far more than rushing the process or making the money. 🐾🤍
