If you need to reschedule, please call or text & I will either find wiggle room in my schedule or come in on a Sunday if you need to reschedule for the remainder of this week. First and foremost, THANK-YOU to all of my grooming families! I wouldn’t be here without you! I have a pretty amazing clientele and am so grateful for each and everyone of you! Thank-you for an amazing 2025 and cannot wait to see what 2026 brings!

Secondly, I tried to inform evryone in person, but also wanted to make a post regarding pricing.

✨ Price Update for 2026✨(new prices are posted in photo).
As we head into the new year, I want to be transparent about a few changes coming to Platinum Paws Grooming Studio.

Due to ongoing inflation and rising costs of rent, health & liability insurance, products, shampoos, equipment, servicing equipment and the time and care each groom requires, prices will be increasing beginning January 1st, 2026.

Here’s what’s changing:

🐾 Base Price Increase:
All Bath packages +$10
Nails +$3
• Small & Medium Dogs: +$10
• Large Dogs: +$15
• XL +$20
• XXL Dogs: +$25

🐾 Pricing Structure
We go off of:
Primarily Weight
Other things that may alter your cost of grooming:
• Coat type & Condition (ie: matting, impacting, etc)
• Groom style/service requested
• Behavior & difficulty level
• Time required for the groom

This means prices may vary case-by-case, depending on your dog’s individual needs.

No-Show Fee
While i don’t have a lot of no shows, it is still a financial loss when it happens.
• No show fee is now 70% of your dogs groom. This will be required to be paid prior to rebooking. If you no-show 2 or more times you will be required to pre-pay all future grooming apt fees at booking in full with no refund if you no-show.

Time Policy
• Grooming typically requires up to 2-3 hours per dog. Please do not rush me, dogs are unpredictable, living animals. Some move all over, some bite, some sit perfectly still. Please do not come back to pick up or check on your dog if you haven’t been notified as this massively disrupts their behavior on the table and it is astronomically challenging to get them to resettle after you’ve popped in.

Cancellations
• We kindly ask if you need to cancel we are notified prior to 24 hours or a no show fee will be applied.

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation as I prioritize your pet’s well-being while continuing to offer the best possible service.

As the year comes to a close, I just want to say THANK YOU to all of my amazing dog grooming clients. Your trust, loyalty, and support mean more to me than I can ever express. Caring for your pups truly makes my days brighter, and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you. 💕🐶

I will be closed from December 23 for the holidays as well as for my Gallbladder Surgery and some much-needed rest until January 5. I’ll be back refreshed and ready to pamper your fur babies in the new year!

Due to having a cold the last couple of weeks, the anesthesiologist declinded to do my gallbladder surgery. It will be rescheduled at a later date. I will remain closed today-Sunday for some much needed rest and reset to kick this cold fully. Thank you all for your understanding and well wishes!

Important Update:
I’ll be taking some time off for surgery and recovery starting Thursday, October 23 - Tuesday, October 28. I will reopen Wednesday, October 29. During this period, the shop will be closed. You may see lights on or activity there, because Tony does his work reports and also his college school work.

Wanted to share our new products with you all! Last night we rolled in about 11:30, stayed at the shop til about 1 am! Unloaded the car, set up the new table, unpacked bags! Tonight after work we picked the boys up from boarding Auburn Field Canine Services LLC and we are all snuggled up relaxing.
2 new dremels with diamond bits in them. Very safe, very quiet, and great quality!
5 new pairs of shears!
2 new wide blades for my clipper
2 gallon bottles of current shampoo
1 gallon bottle of Happy Eyes shampoo (also a current used product restock that’s eye safe)
1 gallon bottle of white on white- a purple shampoo I use to make all those white dogs white again
1 gallon of Autumn Harvest scented current brand of shampoo
1 bottle of Autumn Harvest cologne
1 new slicker brush
1 new comb
2 grip handles for my combs and brushes
2 new smocks
Of course a T Shirt and sweatshirt and a few collars for my boys for memorabilia!
3 bottles of floor cleaner
Wipes
Ear powder
5 Detaingling and/or finishing sprays
Multiple other smaller bottles of shampoos for different services to test out.
Magnetic mats for my table so things stay put!
I’m sure I’m forgetting something lol! Anyways many great things to come!

That’s a wrap! We were so excited to attend the 4 day All American Grooming Conference and it exceeded all expectations! We learned SO MUCH! Gained certifications and shopped til we dropped, including a brand new electric table! We can’t wait to see you all at your next appointments! Thank-you Schaumburg for a wonderful weekend! Now for a long ride home!
