☀️ Summer is flying by! Suffolk Run had a blast at HITS VI. We are loving seeing these partnerships flourish! So many thanks to Juju and Catherine for the amazing care of our horses these past two weeks.

🏆 Grace Shipman joined us for the week with Di Dali and Ekstra MF. Grace was 2nd in the Medium Jr/Am speed with Di Dali and CHAMPION in the adult equitation with Ekstra. Ekstra and Grace also finished 2nd in the 2* USET! Thank you Findlay’s Ridge for letting us hang out with Grace!

🏆 Capriano 14 and Sarah York enjoyed much success in the Younger Adult Hunters with great ribbons in every class in a huge group of 35!

🏆 Tamsin Nicholson and Luna had a great week of learning over larger and more technical courses in the .90m, enjoying clear rounds and great ribbons!

🏆 Konan Z and Maya Lovett made their equitation ring debut- finishing 2nd in a very large Maiden Equitation class! This pair also was extremely consistent with some great rounds in the Low Children’s Hunters.

🏆 Social Hour and Lauren Pippins were CHAMPION in the Modified Adult Hunters- only showing in two classes! Over the weekend they were great over fences and in the hack with multiple top 3 ribbons in the Low Adult Hunters, earning a classic ribbon as well!

🏆 J’Escape HM and Catherine Ling had a lot of fun showing in the Low Adult Hunters- they were 5th in the Classic!

HITS V served as a brand new venue for some members of the Suffolk Run team! It was a hot, busy- but successful week! As always, thank you Juju for being the MVP!

🪅 Capriano 14 and Sarah York • Reserve Champion in the Younger Adult Hunters out of FIFTY THREE quality entries. Sarah and Cappy’s lowest score of the week was an 84.75! This pair also received an 89 in the second round of the Classic to secure 2nd in the combined NAL Adult Hunter Classic.

🪅 Tamsin Nicholson and Luna • Multiple primary color ribbons in the .90m Jr/Am and Open classes! This was Tamsin’s first show moving up to the .90m and we could not be more proud.

🪅 Konan Z and Maya Lovett • Maya and Konan exuded consistency this weekend. This pair had lovely rounds over fences, picking up 4th in the Low Children’s Hunters out of nearly 40 entries and securing an 11th place finish in the Low Children’s Classic!

🪅 Capriano 14 and Jesse Fortier • Earlier in the week Jesse and Cappy earned great ribbons in a massive field of 3’ Green Hunters.

🪅 Social Hour and Lauren Pippins • Lauren and Kinsky produced some great rounds in the Low Adult Hunters and are ready for this next week!

🪅 J’Escape HM and Catherine Ling • Groom extraordinaire Catherine got to team up with Jojo this week and earned multiple ribbons in the Low Adult Hunters as well as finishing 6th in the Low Adult Classic!

A little late, but it’s time for a photo dump and some highlights from one of the best shows of the summer!

Capriano 14 • 1st and 3rd with Jesse in the 3’ greens, 2nd and 1st with Sarah in the younger adult hunters

Konan Z • Maya and Konan enjoyed consistent success in the low children’s hunters as well as the Lake Placid Hunters

Diagon Alley • Piloted by Jesse to great ribbons in a massive group of 3’ greens

Social Hour • Multiple primary color ribbons both weeks with Lauren in the low adult hunters

Lorenzo • Great scores and consistent ribbons in a humongous 3’3” perfomance group!

I’m a little late- but we have some big news! Sarah has officially made Cappy a permanent family member! We are so incredibly lucky to have this young horse and to say we are elated to watch their future unfold is an understatement. Thank you John Jamieson, Carly Campbell Cooper, and the O’Leary family. ❤️

🐎 Saratoga Classic I • Hunters 🐎

Grace Shipman and longtime partner Calamanzo held their own in the Younger 3’3” AO’s- top ribbons all weekend. Grace and Cal also finished 4th in the National Hunter Derby, and won the AO Classic!

Sarah York on Capriano 14 and Shalom enjoyed great scores in the Younger Adult Hunters this weekend. Cappy and Shalom were also in the ribbons in the combined AO Classic.

Wendy Israel and Diagon Alley boasted primary color ribbons both over fences and in the hack this weekend! This new partnership continues to impress us!

🐎 Saratoga Classic I • Jumpers 🐎

Newcomer to Suffolk Run, Tamsin Nicholson, made her horse show debut with our team! Tamsin teamed up with the incomparable Luna for a consistent performance in the .80/.85m jumpers! We cannot thank Smokey Hollow Farm, Alexa Harris, and the Walsh Family enough for sharing Luna with us. Welcome, Tamsin!

Grace Shipman joined up with us for a fun week of horse showing! Grace and Di Dali were 3rd in the Welcome Stake and earned a ribbon in the Grand Prix. Thank you Findlay’s Ridge for having Grace partner with us for this show!

Fieldstone Spring Festival II was nothing short of a dream come true for our small but (incredibly) mighty squad! We have a LOT of highlights to go over:

🪅 Wendy Israel’s Diagon Alley had a banner weekend. 3rd in his first ever USHJA National Hunter Derby with Jesse. Multiple top ribbons with Wendy in the 36&O Adult Hunters including a 2nd in a VERY fancy hack and o/f, and a classic ribbon!

🪅 Sarah York and Capriano 14 were Reserve Champion (by half a point!) in the 18-35 Adult Hunters. Cappy was also 9th in the USHJA National Derby with Jesse. Sarah and Cappy won the NAL/WIHS Adult Hunter Classic too!

🪅 Maya Lovett and Konan Z had an impressive show debut earning great ribbons in a massive Pre Child/Adult Hunter group! We are so proud of your dedication Maya!

🪅 Lauren Pippins and Social Hour claimed the Reserve Championship in the Low Adult Hunters. Boasting a 1st and 2nd over fences, with some other consistent ribbons!

🪅 Shalom and Sarah York were back in top form in the 18-35 Adult Hunters. This duo won the hack, primary colors over fences, and were 4th in the adult classic!

🪅 Emilee Pouladdej and Lorenzo made an amazing impression in the 15&U 3’3” Junior Hunters, earning 1st and 3rd over fences. Thank you so much for the gorgeous riding, Emilee! Paige Mulligan catch rode in the hack to a great 4th place ribbon. Thank you Ronnie Andersen and team RASS for being amazing friends, barn mates, and supporters!

🥇 Ketterle and Brooke Kelly picked up the championship honors at Fieldstone Spring Festival I in the combined children’s hunters. This pair also claimed victory in the combined NAL Child/Adult hunter classic! Brooke did a beautiful job with the catch ride on this lovely horse. Ketterle is available to be tried at Fieldstone this week.
