Huge thank you to our community volunteers who helped our nonprofit add the special fertilizer around the new trees last night.

As a team, we worked together to take the wood chips away from each tree and add bags of Black Kow fertilizer to help provide additional nutrients to the roots. Thanks to Nick from JLS Land Services donating additional wood chips, we were able to cover the fertilizer.

Special thanks to Cecilia for guiding our volunteers to help us with the trees and protect our investment. Purchasing and planting these 15 trees has been an incredible process. We appreciate the support from the community. Thank you for making this possible.

We appreciate the support of our monthly doggy birthday fence sign calendar fundraiser. Thank you for helping our nonprofit raise funds to maintain and improve the park. Raising money to keep the park clean and safe is our priority. We recently invested in trees for shade and, construction has begun on our permanent shade structures. Our nonprofit pays over $10,000 annually for the weekly professional pet waste removal service. Our nonprofit is responsible for maintaining everything on the inside of the fence. The town is responsible for maintaining the parking lot and the two trash bins out front.

We have two volunteer work parties coming up. Can you help our nonprofit protect our latest investment?

Saturday, June 20th - 11am
We will be staking the remaining 12 trees in place. We need strong friends to help us use a mallet to hit the metal stakes into the ground. We have mallets but, could really use some muscle. Once the trees are secured to the stakes, we’ll add pool noodles over the metal stakes and the rope to help prevent guests from walking into them.

Tuesday, June 23rd - 5:30pm
We will be adding special soil around the trees to help provide nutrients to the roots. We will also be covering the Black Kow dirt with wood chips. We have one dump cart but, we could use a couple wheelbarrows to help move the wood chips to the trees.

Our next doggy nail trim fundraiser will be on July 19th from 11am to 1pm. Nail trims are $20 and Fluffed Up mobile grooming will donate $10 per dog to our nonprofit.

Thank you to Joe Scolastico for building and donating this shed to our nonprofit organization. This shed allows us to store our supply of pet waste bags as well as tools needed to maintain the park. It houses the electrical system for the camera. It also houses the access to the plumbing system.

Our volunteers appreciate Joe’s incredible donation. We’re so grateful for the support of the local pet parent community.

Special thanks to Joe Scolastico, owner of JGS Construction Company for generously building and donating our beautiful shed to the Friends of the Marshfield Dog Park non-profit organization. This is used to house our electrical panel for the camera system, seasonal tools as well as pet waste removal supplies.
