Peach County Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation

Peach County Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Non-breed specific 501(c)(3) licensed canine rescue out of Peach County, GA. ❗️We are closing down!💔 Non-breed specific licensed 501c3 animal rescue.

We work hard at finding forever homes for the dogs that are neglected, dumped, or surrendered. All of our dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped. Please do not contact our veterinarian or any other affiliate to expedite the process. Adoption applications are processed by staff and volunteers. Applications are processed within 5-7 working days. Our adoption fees range from $250-$3

50+ (it is not a flat rate). Although our rescue dogs share a common bond with one another, no rescue story is the same (even when similar). Vetting costs vary depending on their health conditions. In addition, we have a professional dog trainer/animal behaviorist on staff who invests countless hours ensuring our dogs are ready for adoption, pre-trained and/or behaviorally modified. Our calculations show, that if you included the 1st year of vetting, training, the cost of a purchased dog; your costs would exceed $500+ dollars for initial investment. For us, it is NEVER about the money. We are a NON-PROFIT. It is all about the well-being of the dog. If you can't make the initial investment and appreciate the value of one of our dogs...then we can't ensure that you are committed to the pet for it's LIFETIME and will give them to best quality of life. At the end of the day, we hope everyone can appreciate that our efforts, time and commitment is solely in the best interest of our beloved dogs to ensure they are NEVER FAILED again. Thank you for your love and support! http://www.adoptapet.com/shelter82351-dogs.html

Hi, my name is Rosie! I'm a chocolate lab mix. Everybody says I have the softest ears ever, they rub them a lot which I enjoy! I am 10 years old, though I don't look or act it! Sadly my owner passed away suddenly and I had nowhere else to go. My neighbor who knew me well brought me to this rescue where she had adopted her dog from. I have enjoyed living here, they're good to me. We have play yards to run in & they show us a lot of love & attention. Sadly though I'm still looking for my own family - that's what I'm used to. I did have a friend that I lived with, he was a male dog which I miss dearly. I am dog friendly with calm males. I love playing ball, I'm a great retriever and I love cuddles. I am crate trained and house broken. I will bark when I need to go outside and I will bark whenever I see you making my food bowl as I love food. I'm great on a leash, I’m learning to get used to car rides. My neighbor calls and checks on me periodically, I know she wishes I had another home as I did for most of my life. I hope you'll see my happy face, my big floppy ears and give me a chance! This rescue does meet & greets so please schedule a meet and greet so you can meet me, that's really the only way you'll see my personality. Plus the love that I have for people - I'm a very affectionate girl, I listen well, I learn quickly too & respond well to commands. Please give me a chance to live my life out in my own home with my own people!
Love,
Rosie 💖

Hi, my name is Hilde. I am what they call a pocket pitty, | weigh about 40 lbs & I'm very low to the ground, I'm full of muscle! I love to run, I love to jump, I love to play! I have lots of energy, the biggest thing I enjoy doing is sitting on a bench with the people that take care of me. Showing me so much affection being in their lap, sometimes I think I only weigh about 5 Ibs but of course I don't, I do act like it though! I have a small fear of men - sadly in my past the man was very abusive to me. Once I learn that you're not going to harm me I get over that fear quickly. I have two men here at the rescue that take care of me. I do love them dearly! I hope that my nervousness with some men won't keep anyone from wanting to meet me. Sadly my breed is stereotyped and that has been held against me. I've been here at the rescue for four years, I was adopted for a short period of time but was returned due to someone in the house being scared of my breed. I have lived with a Shih tzu & I have lived with a Beagle mix - I loved playing with them. We played ball, we chased each other and had a good time, but I understand that the world says we're a bad breed so people do hold that against us. I'm good on a leash & I love to go for walks! I love to go for car rides though I'm a little afraid at first. I am happy here because people have been very good to me, but I know that this isn't my final home. This is just where they are good to me, they've taught me to love and trust and for that I'm very appreciative. I hope that you'll give me an opportunity and schedule a meet & greet to meet me! All I want is my own loving family! I am crate trained, house trained, good on a leash and I love to play ball!! Please give me an opportunity and don't just see me for my breed.
Love,
Hilde

Hi, let me introduce myself! My name is Sugar, I met the founder of this rescue when a police chief in the town I was in, called her because my owner was unfortunately killed in a car accident. I've been here at the rescue now for four years, l am the most loving, compassionate, friendly, sweetest girl you'll ever meet. I know I weigh about 54 Ibs, but I like being treated like I'm 10 lbs! I love being in your lap, I love sleeping next to you, and being next to you when you're sitting in your recliner watching TV. I love being close to you anytime I can be! I love car rides there's nothing more fun to me than going places. I have become better on a leash, I did pull a little so sadly the person that adopted me was unable to keep me as she was an older person with back injuries, though she loved me dearly. I loved the cat that I lived with a lot! I am cat friendly, I'm also dog friendly to most. Since I’m 10 years old the excitable dogs kind of get on my nerves, but I love love puppies it's all I've known my whole life is puppies! I think they said when I came here I was about six to seven years old and I probably had a litter every year of my life so puppies I know well & loved them. I really love to sunbathe, it’s one of my favorite past times! I worry about being adopted since I hear that there's this black dog syndrome in Georgia or the South, I hope that's not held against me. I loveeee having my belly rubbed and I just love being with people in general! I'm a sweet girl, I’m crate trained, I am house trained, and I am leash trained. Many times the founder here takes me on long walks which I absolutely love, the adventure is nice. I lived in a small backyard growing up having puppies but I get a lot of adventure now which I thoroughly enjoy! I hope you will contact the rescue for a meet and greet. You will find I'm a very loving, sweet, mindful dog that listens well and as most I am food driven so I learn quickly. Thank you for giving me a chance and not holding my breed or my color against me. Please complete an application today to set up a meet and greet so you can meet me and see for yourself.
Love, Sugar
