Hi, folks! Power has been restored!

We will be open for our usual business hours 10-6 today. Thank you to all the workers who have been out since Friday and Saturday nights trying to get us all back to normal.

We may be closed, but voting is open!

After seeing some more of the damage from this weekend's storms, I was reminded just how strong our community is. Workers have been out cutting trees and clearing roadways for days now, 209 is finally clear (even though traffic is heavy!) and power is slowly being restored. Our store is still without power as of this morning, but I will keep you all posted as to when it comes back on.

These past few days have been rough on our community, and a lot of the businesses on this list have had no choice but to stay closed. Please, if you have service, vote for your favorite places! Voting closes 7/15 and voting can be done DAILY!

When we open back up, we will have samples of dog and cat food available for anyone who needs anything to get them by. If anyone needs anything before our power is restored, please don't hesitate to reach out and I will do what I can to help!

SHOWERS AVAILABLE: Beginning Tuesday, 7/7, at 11:00 AM at the Middle Smithfield Township Community & Cultural Center

RESIDENTS: As tonight marks approximately 48 hours since many Middle Smithfield Township residents lost power due to Storm Liberty, we are expanding the services available at our Community & Cultural Center, which opened Sunday as a comfort station right after the storm.

For many years, when the Township owned the former Country Club of the Poconos Golf Course and Whispering Pines Clubhouse (now all the Poconos Club), the Board of Supervisors followed a protocol of expanding comfort station services during extended power outages. Once the community reached the 48-hour mark, shower facilities and, in extreme hot or cold, a place for extended rest, were made available to residents.

That tradition now continues at the Middle Smithfield Township Community & Cultural Center.

Beginning Tuesday, July 7, at 11:00 AM, Middle Smithfield residents without power are welcome to use the shower facilities.

Please bring your own soap and personal hygiene items, and towels.

The Community & Cultural Center will continue serving as a comfort station with:

✅ Charging Devices
✅ Connectivity-Internet
✅ Complimentary water
