Finally, we're thrilled to welcome FEI judge and Grand Prix trainer Bill Warren to the farm for a clinic October 11-12. Bill has judged at the international level worldwide, and brings his knowledge of what judges look for and how to best to present your horse for maximum results in the ring from green to Grand Prix. We know it's hard to imagine, given that the "feels like" is 107* today, but: winter is coming. Remember what a delight that was last winter, constant wet and cold, arenas frozen or underwater, paddocks slippery, horses cooped up? Who would want to do that again?

We've got two solutions!

One is to rent our stunning Marshall, Virginia farm, complete with oversized indoor with dust-free footing, covered exerciser, all-weather turnouts, heated grooming bays and wash stalls, and other goodies that will allow you a productive and safe winter. We're looking to rent to a single trainer, and we'll have VERY affordable terms, which can also include human housing. We leave for Wellington mid-December and return early April, and have as many as 24 stalls available.

The other is to join us in the sunny south! Our winter digs in Wellington are truly spectacular, with a gorgeous covered arena, ample turnout, and within hacking distance of recognized and schooling shows. We're already taking stall reservations for our full training program, led by our two USDF Gold Medalist trainers, Lauren Sprieser and Ali Redston, whose holistic program uses thoughtful and compassionate techniques to bring out the best in our horses and riders.

We'll have more beautiful equestrian apparel on hand to try, plus light refreshments, and an opportunity to meet and greet some of the top dressage horses and riders in the country at Northern Virginia's premier dressage training facility. And yes, these fittings will be in an indoor, air conditioned space, so this event can go on no matter the weather.

We've had such phenomenal interest that we're opening up a second day! Join us June 14-15 for individual fitness session for equestrians with Coach Sando Training!

The clinic will include this for each participant: rider biomechanics assessment on the horse, via submitted video analysis; athletic profile testing, using force plate technology to take inventory of what physical skills you have; and movement testing off the horse. A session is 60-75 minutes, and $225.

You don't need your horse for this - you'll submit riding video in advance (which is why the closing date for this is so early, you'll need some time to gather video!). All this data will help Tony guide you in which areas you need to develop, and a customized program of exercises complete with video links to take home with you.

Team Sprieser had an unreal first outing of the summer season. Not a lot was left un-won: First Level High Score both days, Third Level High Score both days, the Pro-Am Team Challenge, and Open High Score Overall! Jodie had stellar outings with both her horses, including finishing her Regional Championships qualifications on Nikolas, and Crystal and Jack Daniels made their foray into recognized dressage sport with two excellent qualifying scores as well. We can't wait for the next one!
