Paws for a Cause Vet Care, formerly known as Spay Illinois, is proud to partner with the Jason Heigl Foundation to host the Namaste Spay & Neuter Initiative on Monday, June 2nd, 2025! This initiative offers FREE spay and neuter surgeries, rabies vaccines, and microchips for qualifying dog and cat owners receiving LINK, SSDI, Unemployment, Medicaid, Veterans benefits, and seniors 62 and older.

This initiative is open to the first 80 pet owners who schedule an appointment and spots will fast! We encourage anyone eligible to call to reserve a place for their pet as soon as possible.

This opportunity is available for owned pets only. We are unable to accommodate feral cats or rescue partners for this event. A current rabies vaccine is required for all pets receiving surgery. If your pet is not currently vaccinated, we will gladly provide a rabies vaccine at no cost on the day of surgery through the support of the Jason Heigl Foundation. Please note that while the vaccine is complimentary, rabies tags will be available for an additional charge. Additional charges may apply.

In an effort to expand our reach, we are holding another merchandise fundraiser this spring! The profits from these sales will go towards obtaining more food and supplies for the pantry.

If you’re interested in supporting our non-profit and aren’t interested in merchandise, we accept donations via PayPal as well!

Hello everyone! This winter has been hard on a lot of folks and our donations have dwindled. We’ve had a request for cat food that we’re unable to assist with due to lack of food.

If you are in a position to help, we are desperately in need of any cat food and are running low on dog food.

I apologize for being quiet for so long. My 3 yr old pittie mix was diagnosed with lymphoma and deteriorated quickly- passing away within a month of diagnosis. The pantry was put on the back burner although I continued helping families and pets in need quietly.

I’ll be posting more regularly going forward 💚🐾
