Hot weather can be dangerous for our dogs. Unlike people, dogs can't cool themselves efficiently through sweating, making them much more susceptible to heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Signs of heat stroke include excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, bright red gums, disorientation, and collapse. Heat stroke is a medical emergency and can become life-threatening very quickly.

Always provide plenty of fresh water, access to shade, and avoid strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day. If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.

When in doubt, keep them cool and keep them safe. ❤️
