A Personal Update from Sheri – Pup in the Tub

After more than 20 years of grooming and many wonderful years serving this community through Pup in the Tub, I wanted to share a personal update with all of our amazing clients.

Recently, I was diagnosed with some neck and vertebrae issues that are the result of many years behind the grooming table. Grooming is a physically demanding profession, and unfortunately my doctor has advised that I significantly reduce the amount of grooming I do in order to prevent further damage.

Because of this, I will be scaling way back on my personal grooming schedule. This was not an easy decision, as I truly love working with your pets and being part of their care over the years.

Morgan will continue grooming, but her schedule is already quite full with her current clients. For some of my longtime customers, I may be helping refer you to a few other trusted local groomers who can continue taking great care of your pups.

Please know how incredibly grateful I am for the trust and loyalty you’ve shown me over the years. Your support has meant the world to me and to Pup in the Tub. ❤️🐾

I will still be involved with the shop and our clients, just in a more limited grooming capacity moving forward.

🐾 A Quick Note to Our Pup in the Tub Family 🐾

We absolutely love each and every pup we care for, and we’re so grateful for the trust you place in us! 💛 Because most of our grooming clients stay on a recurring schedule and we book several months in advance, those spots are very limited and in high demand.

If you ever decide to have your pup groomed elsewhere, move away, or if life brings unexpected changes, we kindly ask that you let us know. This helps us open that appointment space for another furry friend who is waiting for a spot on our schedule.

We truly appreciate your communication and your support of our small, local business. It allows us to continue giving every pup the time, care, and attention they deserve. 🛁✂️🐶

🐾 Important Update from Pup in the Tub 🛁

We want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for trusting us with your pets. Your support means the world to us! 💙

Beginning March 1st, 2026, there will be a $5 increase per grooming service. This was not an easy decision, and we want to be completely transparent with you.

We have not had a price increase in over 3 years, despite the continued rise in the cost of grooming supplies, utilities, maintenance, and overall operating expenses. Like many small businesses, we are feeling the impact of these rising costs and must make this adjustment to continue providing the level of care, quality products, and professional service your pets deserve.

Please know that our commitment to:

A clean, comfortable environment

will never change.

Anxiety trigger for almost all groomers that we never talk about.
The dreaded question...how long will this take.
45 minutes to 4 plus hours 🤷‍♀️
Scenario
You have a 10 am for Fluff Butt cutie pants.
You come in we talk and if all goes well you pick up Fluff Butt around 12:30... in the mean time... we wash fluff butt and get him drying and the noon appointment shows up at 11:15 so you stop to check them in and chat. You come back to and Fluff Butt has p*ed a river and and is covered in p**p and p*e. So the new dog is put up and Fluff butt is pulled out for another bath. You start bathing and you are covered in soap and someone comes in.
The person to pick up their dog that was ready at 10:30 is here.
You chit chat check them out but you can't start your noon because you have to start over on Fluff.
You are almost done with fluff and the owners call to see why it is taking so long.
All your concentration is on Fluff now.
Your Noon is still not started and you have another dog coming in soon.
You are full of anxiety and rushing which will cause you to send out a bad groom.
Then the phone rings....
Lastly in walks in a dog that isn't matted according to the owner he gets there and welp matted and very territorial of personal space so you have to spend 10 minutes coaxing him out a kennel.
See how this can snowball quick.

I promise we never are trying to keep your dog longer than they should be here.
Nothing happened today but it does every week.
I have heard lots of complaints about my last groomer kept them all day.
Even in the best run grooming salon it happens.
The variables are great.
I promise will will let you know if we have an issue and when they are ready :)

Our holiday boarding spots are filling up fast! If you’re planning to travel for Thanksgiving or Christmas, now is the time to get your pets’ reservations booked.

We want to make sure every furry friend has a cozy place to stay — but space is very limited!
