Frankie and Maisy spent their first full night out on patrol with the big dogs last night….I peeked at them multiple times to make sure all was well.❤️

Still babies in so many ways, but following the older dog everywhere they go — learning the fences, checking the animals, and figuring out what it means to protect the farm.

It’s always special watching them finding their place out here and grow into guardians.

The barn kittens have officially taken over the feed room. 🤍

They’re sleeping in feed pans, climbing over buckets, stealing bites of kibble, and turning every chore into a kitten obstacle course.

At this point, we just work around them.

Just another day at Black Dog Farm ❤️

Three days ago, we welcomed a very special little ram lamb to Black Dog Farm. 🤍

This is Knox.

His mama lost her lamb back in January, so this surprise baby already means a little extra to us. His delivery was difficult — one of his legs was caught, and we had to step in and help his mama deliver him safely. Thankfully, both did great, and Knox came into the world strong and determined.

Now at three days old, he’s already hopping around the pasture like he’s always belonged here. 🐑

Sometimes the hardest births make the sweetest stories.
