A deer mount is not cheap anymore. A normal whitetail shoulder mount is running around $800 to $850 on average right now, and plenty of good taxidermists are in the $900 to $1,100 range before you start adding custom work. The highest regular deer head mount price I found was $1,950 for a whitetail or mule deer wall-pedestal mount. And if you want the whole deer mounted, you’re talking roughly $3,800 to $4,000 for a full-body whitetail before habitat, bases, open-mouth work, repairs, or anything extra. How much do you pay for a deer mount?
