Since this fund was started in June 2011, it has paid for 195 dogs and 124 cats to be spayed or neutered, thus preventing the birth of several hundreds of unwanted animals in our county. In order to receive a voucher for the spay/neuter county residents may volunteer eight hours of work at the shelter and the SPCA will pay the complete vet bill to spay or neuter their dog or cat. The work may cons

To date the program has spent $21,360, and thanks to the donation and generosity of people, it can continue to help the entire community. It has been such a success that at times the shelter has had only one or two dogs and a few cats available for adoption. Yard Sale
You can help our shelter animals by donating items to our “forever” yard sale located at the shelter. We are located at 5599 Highway 49 North just before the county recycling center. This is a bargain shopper’s paradise. Every day, people drop off really nice stuff and we offer them for bargain prices. So come on out and see what kind of treasures you can find! Doing some spring cleaning anytime of the year and want to bring us out the items you don't want? Bring the stuff on over and donate for the animals! In order to donate, items must be in good working condition, and clothes must be clean. All of the items we sale goes to the benefit and care of all of our animals and upkeep for the shelter. The S.P.C.A. continues to provide clothing, household items, books, tools, and toys to people on a tight budget. Wheel chairs, crutches, and useful items for the elderly or disabled are offered, sometimes at no cost.
