With the ❄️ colder weather rolling in, we wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about the state laws in Virginia!

Pets cannot be chained/tethered outside in temps below 32°F! 🌡️ They also must be provided with adequate housing including protection from the cold. 🏠

General rule of thumb: If it's too cold for YOU 🥶 then it's too cold for THEM! 🐶

If you are concerned about an animal, please contact Animal Control at 276-646-2222, option 2 OR by calling dispatch at 276-783-7204!
