So this one here is going to be hard for me and let me make it absolutely clear she will not just go to the first person who comes up and she doesn’t have to leave but it’s time for her to find her person who can spend day to day time with her

Every one meet Stella

She came to me in January from Asheboro sick as a dog and with very unknown injuries untill we got her off the trailer and into the stall. When we realized how bad it was we jumped into action got a halter on a very scared and feral yearling and sedated her to shave her head. After month of medical treatment and care she’s fully healed with only a very tiny scar. I’ve put a lot of work into this filly and getting her to where she is. The wound was all the way down to her skull we don’t know what happened in the short time she was on the road but we do know she was passed around a good bit for the 2 weeks after leaving New Mexico. With that being said Stella leads loads baths ties will load in the trailer she still has some issues being cought but that’s why she needs day to day handling and I just don’t have the time. She has had her feet done twice and will pick up all four feet no issues but she needs a quiet hand who can help her through her past trama. We know Stella went from new Mexico to Oklahoma to Texas to North Carolina to me in South Carolina. That’s a lot of traveling in 2 weeks. We do not know what color she is or what color she will be what we do know is she’s the cutes little qh cross should mature at 15-15.1 and she’s quick as a cat on her feet so she should excel in any discipline.

SwampFox farms is now offering pasture boarding only.

We have close to 300 acres of beautiful costal Bermuda grass mixed with Bahia grass. Each pasture contains water troughs, run in sheds, and at least 3 strands of hot wire.

Pasture board includes fresh water grass and hay during the winter. (Hay is only supplied during the winter as the grass grows so fast we can’t keep up.)

Feed is at owners exspence. And we don’t mind feeding once or twice a day or when ever needed. Will blanket during the winter.

Pasture board starts at $250 discounts available for more than 4 horses.

The only stipulation we have is no stallions. As we don’t have small enough pastures for one horse and the proper fencing for a stud (if it’s a yearling or one waiting to be gelded we can accommodate that)

Horses must have current coggins and shots

Boarders have use of wash rack, riding ring, round pen, boarders have their own separate feed room/tack room and places to put trunks. If you need a place to store your trailer we can discuss it going to our other farm which is located right across the street.

Family friendly barn with a small group of lesson students.

we also have space available to take on a couple more lesson students age and knowledge doesn't matter.

6-7 yo grade 15.1-15.2 twh gelding. Let me say this before I even start his coggins says 9 I’ll post pics of his teeth his teeth look way younger. So use your best judgment.

Seasoned field trail horse. One hand neck rein nice flat and running walk nice slow lope. He’s broke he’s safe and he’s pretty to boot. He’s been used to scout judge and ride in the gallery. He’s a heck of an animal and worth the money. I’m not going to sit here and make a long drawn out post the videos can speak for their self. Doesn’t require huge bit or special shoes he’s honestly better barefooted. He’s the right kind for someone on a budget. No gimmicks no bs absolutely no buck rear kick bite or bolt. Rides out alone or in a group goes where you point his nose. He was field trailed on by a 82yo man before coming to us so if he can ride him anyone else should be able to.

Nemo

First off let me start by saying please do not judge my tack we have absolutely nothing to fit a little guy like this. And I did the best I could to get pics and videos.

Nemo is a vet aged 13 yo 12.1 hand Welch pony cross. This guy is the total package and absolutely adorable. leads loads clips ties and baths stands for the Ferrier which is coming tomorrow. Stands like the perfect little gentleman in the cross ties. ABSOLUTELY a doll baby to be around he adores people and wants nothing but attention. Before coming to us he was ridden w/t/c by a little girl but then she grew and needed a bigger horse. This pony is safe he is the right kind. He's the kind you can trust with your kids and would make the perfect lead line pony or walk trot or if your kid is experienced enough he will canter and hop across a cross rail. He's fun he's willing he's in your pocket sweet and absolutely adorable to boot. He rides English or Western with or without a saddle with or without a bridle he doesn't care one bit he's down for anything. Will walk all day long or trot with ease he's the right kind. If you want a insurance policy for your kids he's the kind.

Little Joe Cartwright

Anyone looking for a super cute hunter pony project. I got him with the intentions of starting him over fences but life has gotten in the way so plans have changed.

13 yo and I’d say 14 hands can measure for sure tomorrow

Pros
Leads loads clips ties baths stands to be saddled and mounted. Absolutely not a speed demon walk trott only will not canter just does a really fast trott. (It was said he was a buggy horse with his previous owner) good on trails and very level headed when riding not buddy sour barn sour or ring sour will go basically any where you point his head. Clean legs with good feet and barefoot. Stands quiet for the ferrier and will stand to be tacked up and groomed in the cross ties. Would absolutely make someone a heck of a little hunter pony if they were willing to put in the work. Has not shown any signs of buck rear kick bite or bolt doesn’t require lunging when he’s had time off.

Cons
I took this pony in knowing he had trama someone has hit him in the head and it’s obvious he’s nothing mean but if you move to fast around his ears he gets scared if you scratch him for a bit he has no issues letting you touch his ears. ( this has been a bit of a issue putting his bridle on but if you make it big enough to slip over or take one side apart he’s fine) can also be a little hard to catch untill he gets to know you but nothing major just takes some time to settle in.

Lithgow Secretwall a 24 yo ottb mare standing at 15.1-15.2.

We got secret in January in very bad shape starved infested with worms. She’s put on Probly 200lbs so far nasty wormy winter coat is shedding out and she’s packing on the pounds. She’s now ready for a new home she’s broke she’s sound and yes she needs some more weight we only rode her to evaluate her riding status. Now let me be absolutely clear about this part yes he’s old does she act it H@@@ NO. She’s got more fire in her wire than a 3yo. She’s absolutely nothing mean but she had a go button. She’s not going to be your laid back trail horse. She’s got a nice walk trott canter both directions one hand neck rein nice stop. She is not a beginners horse. She could easily keep adding more weight and be a riding horse again or nice companion horse. She’s mid pecking order in the herd leads loads clips ties baths stands to be saddled and mounted loads and backs off the trailer takes a bit with ease and easy to catch. She’s bare footed with good feet not you typical ottb trash feet.

This poor little filly has been through the ringer. When I got her in January she was 95% hairless covered in chewing lice and cold. All of her hair has since came back and she’s now looking for a new home. She’s up to date on everything. Knows everything a baby her age should and is very willing could go any direction with those long legs.

Draco

In just a month this baby has went from feral to being handled on a daily basis. He’s no where near perfect but I’ve done the hard work and he’s ready for his new home

We think draco is a qh crossed with some aort of draft weather its gypsy or draft hes got the fluffy feet and big bone to match

Draco needs a soft willing hand. Unlike the rest of the babies he’s still a little fearful but nothing mean once cought he enjoys the scratches and attention
