🍫 Mama Needs Chocolate, affectionately known as “Bilbo”, is a 4-year-old Kentucky Mountain gelding who truly has it all. If you're looking for the kind of horse people spend years hoping to find, Bilbo is the one. Bilbo has the disposition that people dream of in a horse. Rocky/Kentucky Mountain Horses are already celebrated for their gentle, willing nature, but Bilbo takes that reputation to another level. He is one of the kindest, easiest horses we've ever had the pleasure of putting under saddle. He’s honest, forgiving, confident, and naturally people oriented. He is a horse that I’ve felt I could trust from day one. When it comes to personality, you’ll wonder if Bilbo is a distant relative of Mister Ed. He has a big personality and is full of character. He is genuinely curious—where many horses might react first, Bilbo wants to investigate. His curiosity and confident nature make him an absolute joy to train. As if his exceptional disposition weren't enough, Bilbo is an absolute showstopper. He is a striking chocolate silver dapple with a rich, dark coat set off by a snow-white mane and tail. He has one of the brightest white manes and tails I have ever seen! Unlike many silver dapples that fade significantly with the seasons, Bilbo stays richly colored year-round. During the summer, his coat remains deep and dark while developing beautiful dapples that shimmer in the sunlight. In the winter, he becomes so dark he nearly appears black, making his brilliant white mane and tail stand out even more. Wherever he goes, Bilbo is the horse people ask about. Whether he's tied at the trailhead, walking through town, or standing at an event, he consistently draws compliments and starts conversations. Combined with his balanced build and exceptional disposition, Bilbo is every bit as beautiful as he is enjoyable to ride. When it comes to movement, Bilbo can do it all. He has a very smooth walk that I can comfortably ride all day. When it comes to gait, he has a few different gears. He has an easy, relaxed gait around 4–6 mph that's perfect for a casual ride, but he can also move into a faster gait of up to 9 mph when you want to cover ground. His different gears and movements make him a truly fun horse to ride—you can spend the day exploring, cruising along, or simply enjoying the variety he offers. While we've preferred to enjoy his gait, Bilbo can also trot if you ask him to. It's not something we've specifically developed or encouraged, but it is there for someone looking for a horse that could transition between gaited and non-gaited shows and activities. To top it all off, Bilbo has a beautiful, rocking-chair canter and picks up both leads with ease. Under saddle, Bilbo is light, responsive, and a pleasure to ride. He stops off of your seat, neck reins, knows leg cues, and yields both his hindquarters and forequarters. He also side passes, and will even sidepass to the mounting block to pick you up or drop you off as well. We even taught Bilbo to fetch objects on cue, a trick he genuinely enjoys performing! Drop your hat or glove, and he will happily pick it up and hand it to you. Bilbo already has an impressive resume for his age. His quiet mind and willing attitude have allowed him to experience far more than most horses his age. Most recently, he carried a banner through the local Fourth of July parade. Bilbo has also participated in a cattle drive, been roped off of, been exposed to gunfire, and logged plenty of miles on technical mountain trails. On the trail, he’s been exposed to just about everything you’d expect to encounter, including wildlife, traffic, water crossings, and deadfall. He has met each new experience with that same level-headedness that makes him so special. He is impressively surefooted in the mountains and happy to just plod along on a leisurely ride or cover ground when asked. Bilbo is also exceptionally bred. Bilbo is sired by one of my favorite RMHA/KMSHA stallions, Elite's Rockstar. Elite’s Rockstar was the 2022 Show Pleasure International Grand Champion. Beyond the show ring, Rockstar is also known for his versatility as a trail and ranch horse. We purchased Bilbo directly from his breeder. Bilbo is registered with the Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse Association (""KMSHA""). Beyond the buttons he knows, Bilbo’s greatest quality is how naturally he wants to please. He listens, tries, and stays mentally connected, making him enjoyable for a wide variety of riders and disciplines. Bilbo’s long list of shining attributes makes him the type of horse that can seamlessly fit into so many different lifestyles. I don't know where to begin on this girl; there's just a lot on her resume. She's definitely a winner! She rides, drives, ranches, liberty, does tricks, will pony other horses, and she's comfortable to ride out down the trails or in the arena; she does it all. She's just an all-around handy horse to have around. And she definitely could go in a lot of different directions depending on what you want to do with her.

She is eligible for papers, and we are working on getting those done. Her sire is a registered pure Cleveland Bay, Ga***rd York Minster, and her mom is a Friesian cross. She has a nice, stout build like a warmblood, so she's drafty enough but not too drafty, so she's very athletic when you need it. She stands at 16 hands tall, and she's four years old.

Overall, she has a very quiet, calm-minded demeanor; she's pretty easy to get along with. She is friendly and easy to catch, and she knows her liberty work, so she will come catch you! She gets along well in the herd. She is down to earth; no drama with this girl.

She rides off of your legs and seat; you can even ride her around without a bridle. In fact, when I bring her up out of pasture, I ride her back with just the halter on. She knows how to move her shoulders, haunches, side passes, and stops off of your seat.

She'll lay down from the ground or from the saddle, and she knows how to sit up like a puppy dog! She also knows the come over cue, so climb up a gate or get up on a mounting block, and she'll come over to you and pick you up!

She has been used for some ranch work, so she's familiar with a rope being thrown off of her. She's also familiar with a bull whip being snapped off of her back. You can open and close gates on her.

She has NO vices at all whatsoever. This girl has logged the miles under her belt, and I think you'll see that from her video. She will stay walking if the other horse takes off and leaves her behind. She'll separate away from the other horses out on the trail. She leaves home alone just fine.

She hobbles for overnight camping or ties out patiently. She has been used to pony other horses, and she does so well that I've used her to pony weanlings, and you know, weanlings like to pull shenanigans the first couple of times when you start lead training them, but this girl has the patience needed for that.

She will go anywhere out on the trail; she has been up and down some steep hills, and she has the powerhouse to do it. She will cross little wooden bridges, little mucky creeks, the river, etc. We even took her out to Lake Michigan, and at first she wasn't sure what to think of those waves, but it didn't take long, and she was cantering down the beach with the waves crashing in. She has a very level head and the right type of mindset.

Story time… I went to cross an unfamiliar creek with her, and too late I didn't see that there was swamp on the other side… sometimes you can't see it's swamp until it's too late, so she went down in that to her belly… Most horses' first instinct is to freak out, and they want to keep going forward, which is bad because if there is more swamp forward, they get in more trouble. Thankfully she's not most horses.

Her front end was down in the swamp, and her back end was sunk as well, but not nearly as deep, and she had some solid ground under her. I was able to get off quick, and again, thank goodness she listened to me, kept a calm head, and just waited for instructions. And I kid you not… I always thought the sitting cue was pretty much just neat party tricks; well, I think it came in handy. Because it was kind of like she was almost sitting, and I had her twirl around on her hind end and come out of that muck just about backward, and she did it! So teaching your horse to sit down can be handy in a swampy situation, I guess.

Now let's talk about her driving. She is perfect under harness; she doesn't miss a beat. She stands like a saint to get hitched; she waits patiently for you to get in the carriage and waits until you ask her to walk on. She will stand all day at the stop signs and stop lights. She doesn't care a bit about traffic and has been downtown. She's had semis, motorcycles, trucks with trailers, bikes, etc. go by, and she doesn't care. She's easy to control on the lines, knows the words whoa, easy, back, walk on, and trot. She just about self-drives; she's that good, and she can make those sharp turns, side-passing in the buggy.

Tulsa has a willing, ready-to-please attitude, and if I had to shorten it up in one sentence… I would say she's a hand to have around. We even tried some little jumps with her, and where most horses, the first time, might stop or spook at the jump, she just hopped right over. So take this girl into some fun jumping shows, do fun driving shows, use her for a little ranching, or take her trail riding and go camping with her. In any situation, Tulsa is your girl; she'll take care of you.

And needless to say, she has great ground manners. She loads up, backs right out, and hauls well in the trailer. Stands perfectly still for mounting, tacking, and for the farrier. Fly sprays well and hoses down. Really, I have NO complaints with her at all. She has the right mindset and enough miles under her cinch with the right training to go further in other directions.

She comes up to date on shots and dewormings, a sound vet check, and a negative current Coggins. Just call to set up a time to see her in person or with any questions. I almost forgot because it doesn't bother her in the least, but she does have a superficial injury on her right hind leg. She was being used out roping calves and such about a month ago, and the rope got tangled up in her back legs; basically, she got a rope burn on one back leg when that happened. So it's just superficial and doesn't bother her in the least, but it is there.

Meet Blueberry Waffles, the perfect starter pony for any aspiring cowboy or cowgirl. While Blueberry Waffles is a great first-time pony and babysitter, he also would make an excellent therapy pony, and he’s the perfect size to fit in the back of your car!

Blueberry is broke to both ride and drive, and he’s a babysitter both ways. He’s never in a hurry to get anywhere and is on the lazier side, and really all he cares about is his stomach.

In the video, the little cowboy riding and driving Blueberry is a complete beginner who has never ridden or driven a pony by himself. And as you can see, all within one day, Blueberry and his little cowboy were the best of buds. And Blueberry really helped give his little cowboy the confidence he needed.

Blueberry is the kind of pony that will be forever remembered. You know the pony where you reminisce about riding as a kid? Well, he’s that perfect pony. And sometimes, kids just need a nice, small-sized pony they can safely lead around by themselves to brush and love on like a giant puppy dog, and that’s what Blueberry is. He is a giant puppy dog with a sweet, ready-to-please attitude. And the cowboy in the videos riding Blueberry has been asking his parents about when he can come over to ride his pony again. In fact, where today most kids are more into electronics, Blueberry can be the temptation needed to stay outdoors.

We owned both of Blueberry’s parents, and so we have known Blueberry Waffles since he was born, and he was the smallest pony we have had born around here. In fact, when we weighed him right after birth, he was only 18 lbs. Today he’s 33 inches tall, and now he’s too big to hold on the scale, but back when he was a baby he got quite used to being carried around in your arms like a puppy dog because he was just so small and cute it was hard to resist picking him up like a puppy.

So Blueberry Waffles has been used to putting up with all sorts of shenanigans from day one, and he’s been played with like a giant teddy bear. He is used to being led everywhere by all of the kids and tied out in various spots of the yard throughout the day, depending on where the kids wanted to play and to take him for the day. So Blueberry is a very tolerant pony that puts up with a lot and doesn’t care as long as you feed him.

He can ride in just a halter, and he’s easy to control. He will cross creeks and logs and pretty much will go anywhere you ask him to go. He went right up on the teeter totter the first time he was asked. We have also started him on the lay down cue.

His ground manners are great; he stands well for getting his feet trimmed. He’s very good for the vet, getting his coggins pulled and shots done. He loads right up in the trailer or in the back of a car or your pickup truck and hauls just fine. He’s easy to lead, and he is used to being tied out. He’s friendly and easy to catch.

We did leave Blueberry a stud and never gelded him because we didn’t know if we wanted to take the option away for having some colts out of him. Because he does have that nice blue roan color and such a sweet, calm, quiet nature about him. We thought, well, if we ever wanted to try breeding with him, we should leave him a stud. And we never did breed with him, so he is not stud acting at all. In fact, I forget that he’s still a stud because he’s so quiet and easy-going. So he could still be gelded if someone doesn’t want to have any babies with him.

Blueberry Waffles could also make the perfect therapy pony; taking him into places or buildings is no problem. He literally is used to being led around anywhere, and basically he’s a point-and-go type of guy. You point, and he goes.

We were blessed to bring Patty into our home in February of 2021, as a coming 2-year-old when we purchased her directly from her breeder. From day 1, Patty captured the heart of our daughter, Josie, and the two of them have created countless memories together over the past 5 ½ years! That’s right, this crown jewel has been a 1 owner horse outside of her breeder, she has not been passed around and is a rare treasure you will be proud to call yours!

Patty has had the opportunity that many young horses do not as Patty has grown and matured in a professional equine training home her entire life. In doing so, we provided the highest levels of training to our capabilities throughout the years with Patty as we wanted the perfect mount for our daughter. Patty was, and still is, exactly that - perfect!

Patty is super easy to catch, stands tied, stands for bathing, clipping, farrier work, and tacking. She stands great for mounting, has an amazing neck rein, works excellent off the rider’s leg, backs, side passes, will ride ba****ck, double, pack saddle bags, and will even ride without a bridle. She has a wonderful headset and balanced movement. Her riding experience includes everything from trail riding, camping, riding through town, parades, horse shows, chuckwagon races, and ranch work. Patty has been on numerous trails and campgrounds over multiple states across the US where she has served as our trustworthy babysitter through all types of terrain. She stays steady through rough country, crosses water with ease, navigates steep terrain without rushing, has a beautiful, smooth trot, and canters in the palm of your hand. Around our ranch Patty has been used gathering, pushing, checking, and separating cattle as well as ponying young horses. She has even been used dragging and clearing brush while fixing fences and water gaps. When it comes to playtime, Patty is a natural go-to choice in the pasture! Patty has pulled sleds while playing in the snow and pulls the kids and dogs in the floaties through the creeks.

When it comes to chaos, Patty remains chill. She has been to numerous fairs and ridden all around the fair rides and games, has been shown successfully in pony halter, youth western pleasure, and many other playday events such as barrel racing, flag racing, and pole bending. While we primarily ride western, Patty will also ride English and would make an outstanding English pony! She also doesn’t mind the noise and commotion of being ridden in town and is very experienced with attending chuckwagon races. She also rides down the county and gravel roads wonderfully when you just want to take a nice, relaxing ride and is 100% traffic safe, use to being around various types of farm machinery, and UTVs. To add to her resume, she will do all of this riding alone or with a group of horses. She is not buddy or barn sour, making her ideal for any riding situation.

Outside of riding, Patty has foaled 2 absolutely perfect, buckskin and white tobiano/sabino 75% gypsy foals. She is easy to breed and has been bred via natural breeding once and AI’d once. She throws her wonderful disposition, a heavy bone, excellent conformation, and lots of hair! Mare power is important and she is a wonderful momma! We have tons of photos of her past foals that can be available upon request.

Patty is perfectly healthy and sound to ride and breed. She comes with a current coggins, a thorough PPE completed by an equine veterinarian, a health certification, is up to date on worming, teeth floated in October 2025, and annual vaccines given October 2025.

I could write a book about this amazing young horse! If you are truly looking for a safe, sane, stunning pony to add to your family, you will not find one nicer than Patty. She is large enough and stout enough to carry an adult and trained well enough to satisfy an experienced rider while being sane enough to trust with your children and broke enough to take care of the beginners!

Steele is a registered 6-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse standing 16 hands tall with a beautiful dapple gray coat and the kind of personality everyone hopes to find. He’s the same dependable horse every time you pull him out of the pasture or stall, making him a joy to own and ride.

Steele has spent years in professional training and has a solid foundation that shows in everything he does. He lopes willingly on both leads, picks up his lead changes, and has the naturally smooth gait Tennessee Walkers are known for, making him comfortable enough to ride all day.
