Our usual plant inspectors are off duty today 🐾… but the jungle is still glowing and ready to welcome you in. 💚

We are open today, but operating with very limited staff due to the continued extreme cold.

Temperatures are still dangerously low, so we encourage everyone to only travel if necessary and to take extra precautions when heading out. If you don’t truly need to leave the house today, it’s a great day to stay warm.

🥶🐾 Extreme Cold Weather Reminder for Pets 🐾🥶

In temperatures like this, pets can develop frostbite or hypothermia in just minutes, especially on paws, ears, tails, and noses.
Even pets who seem to enjoy the cold don’t always realize when it’s too much — extreme temperatures can affect them faster than we think.

Sophie is bundled up and reminding everyone to keep these cold weather safety tips in mind:
• Limit time outdoors to very short potty breaks
• Bring pets inside whenever possible
• Check paws for ice buildup, cracking, or salt irritation
• Provide fresh, unfrozen water at all times
• Outdoor animals must have proper shelter with insulation, dry bedding, and protection from wind

If it’s too cold for you to be outside comfortably, it’s too cold for them.

🕢 New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, Dec. 31):
Open 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
(Plenty of time for feed, seed, and last-minute pet essentials!)

🎆 New Year’s Day (Thursday, Jan. 1):
CLOSED — even the shop pups agree a little rest is a good idea 🐾😉

🌱 Friday, Jan. 2:
Back to normal hours — 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

The holidays are almost here, and we wanted to share our Christmas week hours so you can plan your visits for your home, garden, and pets too! 🐾✨

🗓 Christmas Week Hours:
• Monday 12/22: 7:30–5:30
• Tuesday 12/23: 7:30–5:30
• Wednesday 12/24 (Christmas Eve): 7:30–12:00
• Thursday 12/25 (Christmas Day): Closed 🎄
• Friday 12/26: Closed
• Saturday 12/27: 7:30–2:00

🎁 A quick note:
We’ll be taking Friday, December 26th off as an extra day of rest for our amazing staff after a very busy year. They work incredibly hard for our customers all year long, and this little break is well deserved. 💚
