🪰🪰🪰 Its FLY season!! We do a few things to try to keep our horses and donkeys comfortable and as fly free as possible! Everyone gets these super cool fly masks! Everyone also gets fly sprayed daily. One of the most important things we do is to put these "fly trap bags" all around the farm. If you have horses, these things REALLY help! They are a top priority on our chewy wish list right now! Happy World Donkey Day Sunshine & Moonshine!!World Donkey Day is celebrated annually on May 8 to recognize the hardworking, intelligent, and often underappreciated donkey. Founded in 2010 by Dr. Abdul Raziq Kakar, the day promotes global awareness for donkey welfare, highlighting their role as vital, loyal companions and working animals throughout history.
Purpose: To raise awareness, protect donkey welfare, and foster appreciation for their contribution to human life.
Significance: Donkeys are highly intelligent, social, and sensitive animals known for their endurance in harsh environments.
History: The day was officially created to highlight that donkeys, often misunderstood as simply "stubborn," are actually cautious and smart animals that have served humans for thousands of years.
