When a dog is so scared that it won't come 10 feet from us and, through lots of patience, reinforcement, and more patience, they learn to trust us....our hearts literally explode with happiness!!
This sweet girl, Gabby, is one of those babies. We did multiple visits before her family needed care and gave her the space to trust us. She progressed from barking, with her tail tucked, to play, kisses and cuddles❤️. She learned that Riley and I were not dangerous and we had so much fun caring for her! We can't wait to see her again!

We are so happy to welcome Cooper, Penny and Tate to the Nature Dogz family. Sydney had so much fun taking care of them. Cooper is a little cautious of strangers, but he loved her! This was their first time being left and they were perfect! Lots of ball playing, snuggling and cuddles made for a perfect weekend. Welcome little ones ❤️

This is a photo that deserves so many captions🤣

We got to welcome Scout and Scooter to the Nature Dogz family and had a great time building trust with them. When we started they wouldn't come within 10 feet of us. With love, patience, treats and space, they learned to love us!
We love working with the nervous pets. It is so important to let them lead the trust building. The first untucked tail, first approach, first touch, etc make our hearts so happy❤️.

Huck's mom sometimes needs to work late, so I get to pick him up from daycare! He always shows his appreciation with a sweet kiss. Once home, he takes a minute to relax from his busy day, gets a snack and then we play a game of Chase.

Sweet Nigel! I've known him for 5 years and I just got to meet his new little brother! Darwin joined his new family about 2 months ago and has quickly settled in. Nature Dogz is not just for the dogs. We care for all kinds of pets...furry, fluffy, feathery and scaly.
Recently we got to welcome Peach and Rosalina to the family. When the client's dear dog crossed the rainbow bridge they knew they weren't ready for another dog, just yet. Their daughter missed having a pet so they started fostering for a guinea pig rescue❤️. These little piggies hit the jackpot with their foster family! They are still looking for their forever home though.

He would do best as the only dog but, with slow introductions, may be able to get along with larger dogs.

My preferred game with Tiger is Catch the treat. Last night, Tiger's game was catch the baby bunny😢. I only took a quick picture for the parents while I figured out what to do. Luckily the bunny died quickly but he wasn't giving up his prize. Knowing that I couldn't grab it, corner him or chase him, I decided to use a tactic that I teach when teaching Leave It. I walked away, "fell in the grass" and yelled in a high pitched voice, "Tiger, what is this, what happened, etc" while pointing to the ground. Normally I don't teach to fall down but I needed an extra strength diversion.
He slowly dropped the bunny and came toward me. I was able to kick the gate closed and get him away from the bunny.
It didn't end well for the bunny but Tiger didn't get rabbit for dinner.

Little Lucky!! We were the lucky ones to be able to welcome him to the Nature Dogz family!! He is a lot of personality in a little body and he is a formidable opponent to his stuffed animals. I had so much fun caring for him while his mom was away. I hope we get to see him again soon❤️
