🧡 Lank's journey isn’t over — and he still needs our help. 🧡
When Lank arrived, it was clear he had been through far too much. At 11 years old, this sweet old man is underweight, covered in ticks, unneutered, and suffering from a laundry list of medical issues: hypertension, corneal scarring, and severely infected teeth and gums. To make matters worse, he had deep wounds on his neck from a dog attack — a result of an attempted good deed gone wrong when a kind neighbor stepped in to help after his previous owner could no longer care for him.
His dental disease was so advanced that infection had spread into his nasal cavity and was affecting his eyes. Surgery was risky, but without it, he wouldn't have had much time left. After surgery, Lank was transferred to a 24-hour clinic for fluids and pain management because his mouth was too painful for him to eat, drink, or take medication on his own. He spent last weekend under veterinary supervision, and thanks to the care he received, he’s finally starting to feel better.
And through it all? He’s been nothing but gentle and loving. His foster mom says he’s a little ray of sunshine ☀️ with the biggest heart and a quiet determination to live. He wants to be here — and we want to make sure he has the chance to heal fully and enjoy the retirement he deserves.
