Thanks to Karen and Dave for keeping Banjo for me while I went out of town for Thanksgiving. They are still doing a great job watching our dogs. Remember, they "home" your dog. No crate or Kennel. If you are going out of town, let them home your dog while you are gone. Give 'em a call for info and quotes.

During these challenging times, Leader of the Pack Doggy Dayschool will remain open, but with some changes in the way we operate. Starting Monday, April 6th, our hours of operation will be 8am til 6pm, Monday through Friday. No customers will be allowed in the facility. All drop offs, pick ups and payments will be curbside. Just call us when you are in the parking lot and we will come out. We will not be able to take payments that require a PIN number.

The Grooming Gallery will be open on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s. The same operating procedures apply.

If anything changes, we will let you know.

Stay safe everyone!

Wow....lot of changes in the last few weeks. As of today, Leader of the Pack will be open from 7am til 6:30 pm until further notice. I have been “in quarantine” for the last week due to a cold, allergies, who knows, but don’t want to take any unnecessary risks. What I have begun to realize is HOW MUCH I miss being with our dogs!!! Sooo appreciate you guys for allowing me and our staff to connect with and learn from these “in the moment” individuals. They have so much to teach us. Thanks to all that support us!!!! We will take one day at a time. Karen Williams

Although retired and missing all the wonderful dogs and writing stories about them at LOP, I've not been totally idle. Click on link below to see my story that was published in the Gwinnett Forum. From dogs to drummers!

NORCROSS, Ga. | Hey, Big Brother by Rare Earth came around on the rotation today, and listening to the pure, straight ahead excellence of the vocals prompted a thought in my head. Who is the best rock and roll singer who is also the drummer in the band? It’s a limited group, and off the top of my ...

Friends and roommates since meeting way back in 1974 in Terre Haute Indiana. Thanks for letting me hang out at LOP with you and all the dogs that passed through during the last almost five years. I'm gonna miss being there.

Birthdays bring about changes. A year ago on my birthday I cut back from four days a week to two. This year on my birthday I'm gonna cut back from two to zero. Next Wednesday March 29th will be Banjo and my last day at LOP. I started at LOP back in July of '14 and when I got Banjo as a rescue he started coming with me in late October of the same year. I've turned on my social security benefits so I'm gonna move up from living paycheck to paycheck to electronic deposit to electronic deposit. Lol!

I want to thank all of you for bringing your best friends to me and LOP and letting them be my best friends too.

I won't miss the early morning treks across the top end perimeter from Norcross and back a bit. But I will miss the hours outdoors with 20-30 of the best kids Marietta has to offer.

Thanks and hasta la vista,

David Simmons
