We hope you will join us this year by participating in our food drive to help the Humane Society restock their food pantry for underserved families. Times are tough and pets are losing their homes because their families cannot feed them. We would like to help these animals stay out of the shelters!

Below is a blurb about the service they offer from one of the coordinators. The feline supplies are quite low. We will accept dog and cat food for this fundraiser but we are hoping to help the feline community specifically as they are so underserved!

"We have both a canine and feline pantry but historically always have a deficit of cat supplies. This became even more prevalent around 2019 with donations drastically decreasing during the pandemic. Donations never recovered and are still very low.

We appreciate each and every donation and always put it to good use as we have several long term disabled or elderly clients who rely on the help we give for their pets. Clients are allowed to visit once per month, and their pets must be spayed or neutered to participate. Clients must have legitimate need and receive financial assistance so what we provide to them is vital and sincerely appreciated."

Please help us, help them! We will be accepting donations through mid-December. Just drop it by our office.

We said goodbye to this scrumptious muffin’s testicles today!! We LOVE those cheeks, but the two little tumors (as Dr Globerman has always called) them had to go! We have been nursing him through regular bandage changes to heal his wounds, but today is the big day for neutering!

NEW! This Fall here at PWC!

Have you heard the news!?!?
California has officially banned declawing!!! California joins New York, Maryland, Rhode Island and Massachusetts in having made this humane decision! Thank you to Assembly Member Alex Lee! Thank you Governor Gavin Newsome for making so many welfare decisions to benefit animals in the state of California, including this one! Spread the word, we still have work to do!

100%! That's why we do what we do here! We keep cats and their people together, always have, always will. We've practiced this way long before Fear Free was even in existence, we were feeding the cats treats in the exam rooms, keeping the pet parents with the cats, offering soft bedding and taking carriers apart for kinder access etc. After we learned about fear free we added classical music and feline vertical space!

New research says that you being there can reduce stress—and that most cat guardians prefer to be present, even for blood draws.
