Please, someone is out there for this sweet boy 🥺
He finally got his chance. After waiting so very long, someone took him home. But the environment wasn’t right for him, and Gomez was returned. Since coming back, Gomez has been struggling. The spark he had started to show is dimmer now. But even with a heavy heart, Gomez is still full of love.
Gomez is a 5-year-old gentle soul who has spent far too much of his life behind shelter walls. He’s the kind of dog who quietly waits, hoping someone will notice him. He doesn’t bark for attention or jump up to be seen—he simply sits with soft eyes, full of hope.
He’s still the same gentle soul who walks calmly by your side on a leash. Still the same sweet boy who rolls in the grass with joy and leans in for belly rubs like it’s the best part of his day. He just wants someone to give him a place to rest, to be safe, and to finally be loved for the rest of his life.
Gomez needs a different kind of home this time. One that understands that sometimes, the best dogs are the ones who’ve been through heartache and still choose to love. He’ll need time to settle into a new home. After all he’s been through, he deserves patience, understanding, and a quiet environment where he can feel secure and loved again. Because Gomez truly wants to be the center of your world, we recommend a home without small children. He hasn’t been thoroughly tested with kids, and he may struggle to share toys, space, and attention. An adult-only or older-teen household would give him the calm and consistency he needs to thrive.
He’s ready to give his whole heart to the right person. Gomez isn’t asking for perfection. He just needs a home that understands him—a quieter place, filled with patience, kindness, and the promise that he won’t be given up on again

Gomez…. A gentle heart the world forgot
He used to greet everyone at the front of his kennel—eyes shining, tail hopeful. He used to get up for visitors. He used to believe today might be the day.
Now he mostly sleeps. If you walk by, he won’t look up. Not because he doesn’t care—but because hoping hurts more than hiding.
He is sweet and kind. He is patient. He has watched so many others leave—wagging out the door to forever—while he stays behind, quieter and more invisible with each passing day, for over 600 days.
We see him, even if others don’t. We see the way his eyes still flicker when you say his name softly, the way he leans into your hand like it might hold the whole world. We feel the weight of his loneliness—the silence around his kennel, the stillness where excitement used to live.
Gomez, the gentle dog who once believed people meant love and doors meant freedom. There is nothing wrong with him. He hasn’t “done” anything. He just… hasn’t been chosen

Gomez - 5 Years young, knows commands, 80lbs of a cuddle bug, loves treats and takes them like a gentleman, good on a leash, loves rolling in the grass & ear scratches, adores people, selective with his doggie friends so he will need to meet all housemates to make sure they can be best friends, unknown how he is with cats & kids because he was a stray.
