Honey has been a little diffrent than other horses I’ve worked with. She came in with questionable vision and the vet confirmed her vision is far from 20/20. I have been able to modify some of my training techniques to help her along using vocal commands in addition to physical pressures. She’s grasped gee and haw for right and left turn commands and has a solid woah. Other than her vision she not diffrent from other horses coming though my program she just needed an alternative ques. 💕

I will have limited availability for training horses mid June, after we get back from Pinto worlds (June 7-14th)

I also will have a few high quality and well bred horses coming up on consignment (I’m sooo excited to share them with everyone 🙈)

With the important stuff out of the way I want to give a general thank you to current, returning, and new clients for trusting me with your horses. Every time I have a spot opening up, it is filled before I even have to make a post and for that I am thankful. I’ve been blessed this past year with quality horses and great clients. Thank you for supporting my buissness and putting your trust into my training.

Wicked Invite Only showing off his wicked legs and natural reach. Rhythm, Relaxation, & Freedom of Gait the first 3 steps of my training tree that I follow to create a strong foundation.

I want to talk about what I look for in freedom of gait for my program and what it means to me. This is a term I use that applies to the Natural movement of the horse, and I’m looking for this gait after the horse has achieved the ability to move off rhythmic and relaxed without excessive excitement.
This gives you a good opportunity to gauge the horse’s natural athletic ability without rider influence. This can help you pick a direction best suited for your horse’s physical abilities as well as pin point their strengths and weaknesses, to help formulate a plan of action for that specific horse.
Freedom of gait also gives you a good ground zero to refer back to as the horse moves up the training tree.

Copper stands at 15.3 hands located in Moscow, Iowa.
Copper would be competitive as a ranch riding gelding at any local, open or breed show. Best suited for an adult amateur or a skilled youth under guidance of a trainer. He is currently barefoot and sound with light maintenance.
Copper not only looks nice in the arena but he will catch people’s eye out on the trail. He rides quite down the trail, one hand neck reins, crosses water, and will step over logs. He’s eager to jump on the trailer every time we have left the property, and is very easy to get along with outside the arena. Copper is up to date on vaccinations, dental, and farrier care. He had his hocks injected for light maintenance 11/22.

Fancy is looking for her new forever home. She will walk down the trail, ride around the arena, she even has the pedigree and look to produce some top notch offspring. Slow her down and show her in the pleasure or continue to push her out and make a beautiful ranch rider out of her. Keep her in training for a few more months to finish her out and she will be hard to beat come show season. She would be the perfect horse for a confident youth to bring along and show at open, county, and state levels. Fancy was started later in life and had time to mature, she is sound and currently barefoot

Class is in session, aka 2 year old boot camp has begun!

Chicadee took a second place at the Iowa State Fair western horse show in ranch horse walk trot. I could not ask anymore from a horse that I had on the backburner this summer. We rode in a very large class with competitive horses, to say I was pleased is an understatement.
