🌟This week we’re highlighting Jenna, one of our amazing Licensed Veterinary Technicians for our Team Spotlight 🌟

Jenna is a familiar face during wellness visits, sick appointments, and new puppy or kitten exams. Behind the scenes, she is an incredible asset to our clinic — drawing blood, filling prescriptions, monitoring anesthesia, and caring for hospitalized patients with both skill and compassion.

She truly excels at multitasking and is always one of the first to lend a helping hand, whether it’s to a client, patient, or fellow team member. Her dedication, teamwork, and caring attitude make a difference every single day, and we are so grateful to have her on our team!

Outside of work, Jenna enjoys skiing in the winter, kayaking in the summer, and baking. We love having someone so adventurous, compassionate, and talented as part of our team! 💙🐶🐱

Thank you Jenna! 🫶

Tick season is here, and it’s important to stay informed and protected. 🕷️🌿

Lyme disease is caused by bacteria transmitted through infected blacklegged (deer) ticks. These ticks — both nymphs and adults — are active whenever temperatures are above freezing. Lyme disease can affect people and pets of any age and is spread when an infected tick remains attached for 36 hours or more.

The most common sign of Lyme disease is an expanding rash that may look like a bull’s-eye or solid red patch near the bite site. Other symptoms can include:
• Fever or chills
• Muscle aches
• Headache
• Fatigue

Common signs of Lyme disease in dogs may include:
• Fever
• Lethargy or tiredness
• Loss of appetite
• Swollen lymph nodes
• Joint pain or stiffness
• Limping that may shift from leg to leg
• Reluctance to walk, run, or jump

✔️ Check yourself, children, and pets for ticks after spending time outdoors
✔️ Remove ticks promptly and properly
✔️ Wear protective clothing and use tick repellents when outdoors

Early detection and treatment are important. Stay safe and tick aware this season. The good news is we have great preventative options available, give us a call today! ☺️🐱🐶
