💙 LICORICE NEEDS A HERO — FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME WANTED! 💙
Licorice is a 3-year-old neutered male Pit Bull who has been through more than any dog ever should—but you would never know it from his sweet, loving personality. This boy is pure heart. 🐾💕
When Licorice first came to us as a stray, he had a large untreated wound on his shoulder that had been covered with a human bandage and super glue. He also had multiple scars and old injuries, likely from being used as a bait dog. Despite everything he has endured, Licorice remains incredibly gentle, trusting, and full of love.
✨ Licorice is:
🐶 Extremely friendly with other dogs
☀️ A big fan of lounging in the sunshine
🏡 Fully housebroken
🛏️ Crate trained
💖 Loyal, affectionate, and happiest when he's with his people
Licorice does have diabetes, and right now he is in desperate need of a foster home or, even better, a forever home.
Diabetic dogs need more than medication—they need consistency, comfort, and a calm environment. While our staff is dedicated to providing the best care possible, a shelter environment is not ideal for managing diabetes. The noise, stress, changing routines, and lack of a true home setting can make it much harder to keep a diabetic dog regulated and healthy.
A foster or forever home can provide the stability, routine, and one-on-one attention that Licorice needs to thrive. Sometimes the best medicine isn't found in a bottle—it's simply having a place to call home. 🏡💙
After everything this sweet boy has survived, we desperately want him to experience what it means to be loved, safe, and part of a family.
