As many of you know, we often take in foster dogs that need a safe place to land and get the help they need until they can find their forever home. But taking on new dogs over and over adds up quickly. We've finally pursued a non-profit status and are official! We can now accept donations so we can continue helping dogs like Kira and Vada find their own forever homes to thrive in.
Please welcome Vada, our newest foster! This sweet girl had a tough start at life, but she lucked out with a young couple that got her out of her bad situation and cared for her the best they could. But unfortunately she's just not a good match for them and is now looking for her forever home where she can thrive.
We also wanted to announce our new 501(c)3 Non-Profit status. Those who have followed us for any time, know that Laura and later on, Leon have poured their own time and money into each and every foster. The adoption fees help, but they just don't come close to what many of these dogs need, especially for veterinary care and long term fostering to be sure each dog finds the RIGHT home. I've never been one to ask for help, let alone money, but we've come to the conclusion that the dogs that need our help just keep coming, but without financial help, we can't keep doing this.
With our 501(c)3 Non-Profit status, we can now take donations that will go towards the care of the dogs so we can keep going. If you can't give, please share to others that may be able to. We're small, but as a small primarily 1 person operation (until Laura roped Leon in) was able to personally help over 45 dogs find their forever people.
