What a month it’s been. Some people know and some don’t. I had to leave Walden ASAP. Having a dream of running a horse boarding/training business and starting it 25 years ago was incredible. Then finding myself at a very impressive facility for 18 years to run my business out of was even bigger than incredible. I felt so lucky to have such a beautiful facility with a huge indoor, huge outdoor along with tons of pasture for the horses was also incredible. I hosted several clinics with amazing trainers to further my education along. I felt so lucky to have such an amazing experience and time being at Walden. Then it all crashed in less than 24 hours. I was faced with a huge decision to either fold the business or stay up all night looking for a facility that could accommodate all my horses along with my clients. I can’t thank Natalie enough for opening up her barn for me on a days notice while she’s in Florida and allowing me to have a place to go to. So within 2 days after being told I had to leave, the main barn was emptied and looked like a ghost town. Then the 3rd day we moved the entire upper barn.

About 5 years ago Walden did some repairs to secure the main barn indoor arena trusses. A few weeks ago on a Saturday we noticed that there were some changes in the dormers and a lot more leaks were noticed when it rained. On Monday Walden had their engineers come to look at the structure and do an assessment. We were informed we had to have an immediate meeting. My husband and I went that afternoon to the meeting Monday being told that the building was condemned and I needed to move out immediately. The word SHOCKED was an understatement for me. All the questions that went through my head at that time and all the emotions as well. I felt like I was living a dream and then it turned into a nightmare.

I can’t thank all my clients, friends, family and barn crew enough for everything they did. So many people have helped in many ways I can’t be more grateful for all of them. We are a true barn family. Things are starting to slowly come together. There are a lot less moving parts, thankfully. And I can actually breathe again.  I’m still lucky as I have amazing friends around me and that support me. I have an incredible husband and daughter that supported me along this bumpy ride. The list is so long I can’t even mention everyone as I would feel awful if I left someone out unintentionally. But you all know who you are……many thanks and hugs. 🤗

Looking forward to getting back to doing what I love to do in a new facility and ready to start showing this year! Change is always hard but I feel this change is a good thing. We will still be hosting clinics and Felicitas is still coming at the end of April.

You never know when life can do a 180 on you!

Help Wanted -

Topline Stables, Aurora Ohio

Looking to add 1 or 2 people to help with AM crew. Duties are feeding, turnout, blanketing, and cleaning stalls. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Start time is 7:30 AM and depending on what needs done end time is between 1:30-3:00. Must be dependable and show up on time. This job is physical so you must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must work well with crew and communicate.

Also looking for PM feeder. Availability is Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. Duties are hay, grain, water, and sweep barns along with other misc. chores. Start time is 4:30 takes about 1.5-2 hours to complete chores.

DM with experience and availability.

Horse experience is required!
