I liked this advice from hobbyfarms.com. "If you’re one of those poor souls, like me, who makes multiple trips to the chicken coop to change out water, remember to collect eggs each time you go. Because chicken eggs are nearly 75-percent water, they’ll freeze and crack quickly once exposed to the cold air." What winter tips have you found most useful in caring for your flock?

Our good friend, JudyAnn has new babies at her house. She says, "The chicks are home, all 25. Yellow ones (will be big and white), multi-colored ones will be black egg layers and two brown ones who should grow up looking like Wild Game chickens with fancy feathers."
