Of course I had to make a special birthday visit with a new toy and some treats for the birthday boy! ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿฆด Pinot was VERY happy to see meโ€ฆ and Cookie was pretty thrilled with the whole birthday situation too. ๐Ÿ˜‚

After several treats and some playtime with the new toy, I headed for the doorโ€ฆ and suddenly had ๐˜๐˜„๐—ผ ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐˜† ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ด๐˜€ ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜ ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—บ๐˜† ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น! ๐Ÿคฃ Apparently they thought the birthday celebration wasnโ€™t quite over yet!

๐—จ๐—ฝ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ ๐Ÿด/๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿต: After just 2 injections and her anti-inflammatory medication every 12 hours, my girl has definitely picked up some speed! ๐Ÿฅนโค๏ธ๐Ÿพ Monday we go for injection #3 (out of 8 total) and another round of shockwave therapy. Iโ€™m so happy with the progress sheโ€™s made so far! โค๏ธ

My girl has been having some trouble with her left leg again, and after noticing that she just seemed โ€œoff,โ€ we had her checked out today.

Unfortunately, her hip and stifle are both inflamed and causing her pain. ๐Ÿ˜ข Weโ€™ve started shockwave therapy, Adequan injections and carprofen, along with some gentle passive range-of-motion exercises at home.

For now, the plan is lots of rest, extra TLC and giving everything some time to work. Sheโ€™s such a trooper, and hopefully we can get our girl feeling much more comfortable soon. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน๐Ÿพ

Pinot is always front and center โ€” no hesitation, no fear, just where are the treats?! ๐Ÿคฃ

Cookie, meanwhile, hangs back at a safe distanceโ€ฆ just in case she needs to make a quick getaway. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’จ

But once the treats have been successfully distributed and she realizes no getaway is necessary? Suddenly sheโ€™s right up front with Pinot like she was never suspicious of me in the first place. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Same routine. Every. Single. Time. โค๏ธ
