This bill would END the retail sale of puppies and kittens in Texas stores — cutting off the demand that fuels puppy mills.
These pet stores prey on
unsuspecting, uninformed consumers who are looking for a puppy or kitten, leading to the purchase of expensive, poorly bred, and often sick animals.
This results in higher costs for the pet owner and unnecessary suffering for the animals.
