🎉 Celebrating ONE YEAR with Dr. Hood! 🩺🐾

We are coming up on Dr. Addison Hood’s one-year anniversary with Hartfield Veterinary Clinic and Holdenville Veterinary Clinic, and we couldn’t be more proud to have her on our team! ❤️

Over the past year, Dr. Hood has worked incredibly hard serving our patients, clients, and communities. Rural veterinary medicine isn’t always easy—it takes long days, hard work, compassion, and a willingness to step up wherever you’re needed. Dr. Hood has done exactly that!

We are so thankful for the dedication she brings to both of our clinics and for her commitment to serving rural Oklahoma.

🐱 Your cat says they’re fine. Your cat may be lying. 😹

Cats are MASTERS at hiding illness. Small changes can sometimes be the first sign that something isn’t right.

Keep an eye out for:
🐾 Eating or drinking differently
🐾 Weight loss
🐾 Hiding more than usual
🐾 Changes in the litter box
🐾 Vomiting more frequently
🐾 Changes in grooming
🐾 Acting less social or active

If your cat just seems a little “off,” don’t ignore it. You know your pet better than anyone — and sometimes those subtle changes matter! ❤️

🚨 WEEKEND URGENT CARE REMINDER! 🚨

It’s Friday—which apparently means every pet in Oklahoma has officially been given permission to:

Eat something they shouldn’t
🐶 Fight with their sibling
🐶 Find a mysterious object in the yard
🐶 Start limping for absolutely no obvious reason
🐶 Develop an ear infection at 8 PM
🐶 Somehow injure an eyeball 😅

👁️ EYE INJURIES CAN’T ALWAYS WAIT.

Squinting, excessive tearing, cloudiness, redness, discharge, or suddenly holding an eye closed can be signs of a painful eye problem.

Some eye conditions can progress quickly, and what starts as a small corneal injury can become much more serious.

⚠️ If your pet suddenly develops an eye problem, don’t wait several days hoping it improves on its own.

Our Hartfield Veterinary Clinic Urgent Care team is available on the weekend when your regular veterinarian may not be open. 🐾
