Fur’s A Flyin’, LLC is searching for a customer service super star to join our team! We have an immediate full time opening for our Front Desk/Marketing Assistant position.

This position is a key player in successful day to day operations. This person is responsible for the following functions:

* Greeting customers and checking pets in and out for services.
* Providing price estimates for new client inquiries.
* Asking questions about /clarifying desired services with owner.
* Communicating with internal team members about the status of pets or client requests.
* Answering phone calls, texts, emails or Facebook inquires about services or scheduling appointments.
* Take payments for services via cash, check, credit card or online payment systems.
* Edit photos and post to social media accounts.
* Create other social media content.
* Monitor pets in the kennel waiting room, take out for potty breaks, administer water, food or belly rubs if needed, clean kennels upon dismissal.
* Perform nail trim or grinding services for nails only appointments.
* Do laundry.
* Assist with facility clean ups.

Desired knowledge, skills or abilities:
* Punctuality
* Ability to multitask with interruptions.
* Team player
* Ability to handle constructive feedback.
* Ability to handle/leash walk pets of all sizes including large breed dogs, cats and bunnies.
* Ability to perform nail trims or grinding or willingness to learn.
* Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to de-escalate or soothe misunderstandings
* Ability to self manage without constant supervision
* Experience with or understanding of animal behavior
* Experience creating social media content using Canva or other apps/software .
* Ability to learn industry specific software.
* Some proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

This position is Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week with over time potential depending on work load. Candidate must be available to work between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM. This is a W2 hourly position with up to 48 hours of PTO and Holiday pay available after 90 day probationary period. This is a non tipped position with starting pay being no less than $18 dollars and up to $21 per hour. Wages are dependent on experience and qualifications. Preference will be given to those candidates who have animal care industry experience, scheduling workflow experience and/or creating social media content.

🚨LOOSE/LOST DOG ALERT🚨
Intact male visited our property around 7:08 this morning. Staff tried to coax it over but it left going toward Homestead Apartments.

‼️UPDATE: it’s possible this is the same dog that was meandering around West Mankato last week. Please keep your eyes open for this dog, we need to get it help if it has been running loose all this time!

⚠️ UPDATE 2 pup was caught and is at Mankato impound.
