Maddox is looking for his forever home!
This sweet, playful, snuggly boy is the perfect companion for cozy winter nights. He loves a good cuddle, a warm spot by the fireplace, and will happily be your shadow once he feels comfortable.

He’s been wonderful with my dogs and great around family—he just needs a little time to warm up (maybe even literally by the fire, lol). Maddox would make an amazing addition to any loving home!

🎄The Holiday of Lights is a staple of St. Tammany's Holiday Season, featuring thousands of twinkling lights, family photos with Santa, carnival rides, and of course DOG ADOPTIONS!

Join STPAS for Friday's Opening Night Lighting Ceremony as staff, volunteers and adoptable pups watch the "Christmas Tree" water tower come to life! The dogs will stick around until 8PM for free cuddles and hopefully their freedom ride home! This event will feature discounted adoption fees that you cannot get at the shelter.

This sweet, cuddly, goofy boy is officially looking for his forever home (or a foster!)

Maddox is the kind of dog who instantly steals your heart. He LOVES playing fetch, a good game of tug-o-war, and finding the warmest, coziest spot in the house to curl up in. He’s slightly nervous in new surroundings and may take a day or two to warm up to new people — but once he trusts you, his personality shines and it’s truly unmatched. 🥹💛

He gets along great with my male dog and has been wonderful with all our visitors. He’s also fully potty trained (major win!).

One more bonus? If you adopt or foster Maddox, he comes with professional training included — to help him continue building confidence and settling into his new life.

As we celebrate freedom, food, and fireworks, let’s not forget about our furry best friends who may not love the noise as much as we do. 🐶💥

Here are a few quick tips to keep your pup safe and stress-free tonight:

🐕‍🦺 Give them a long walk, a fun training session, or some extra playtime to help burn off that energy. A tired dog is a calm dog!
🔒 Keep them safe and secure indoors
🔊 Use calming music, white noise, or a favorite show
📛 Make sure their ID tags are up to date, just in case

Let’s make this holiday fun and safe for everyone—two- and four-legged alike. ❤️💙
