Fido Finishing School

Fido Finishing School Fido Finishing School is a dog training program in Mandeville, Louisiana, where your dog will receive the training he needs to become a great dog.

Fido Finishing School began as a competition and pet training obedience program in 1995. In 2000, agility classes were also added to the program. Julie Hill, the founder and owner, is the primary instructor for all classes. Additional staff has been added as the school has grown. Many Fido Finishing School canine alumni have gone on to very successful careers, including Service Dogs, Search and Re

scue, Conformation, Tracking, Herding, Field Trials, Earthdog Trials, Therapy Dogs, Agility, Obedience, and last but not least, as Man’s Best Friend.

The next round of obedience classes at Fido Finishing School will start on Monday, November 10th, 2025. The Puppy Preschool class time is 6:30 to 7:30 pm, and the Family Pet I class time is 7:30 to 8:30 pm. The Puppy Preschool class is for dogs 5 months of age and younger, and the Family Pet I class is for dogs older than 5 months. We meet in Parking Lot D behind Lakeview Regional Hospital (95 Judge Tanner Blvd., Covington). Bring leash, collar, and treats to class. The fee is $125 for the 6-week course.

You can pay with a check, zelle, or venmo. If using zelle, let me know and I can send a payment request. My venmo ID is -Hill-67. Your spot in the class is not guaranteed until payment is received.

The next round of FAMILY PET I classes at Fido Finishing School will start on Tuesday, October 14th 2025. The Family Pet I class time is 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Family Pet I class is for dogs older than 5 months. We meet in Parking Lot D behind Lakeview Regional Hospital (95 Judge Tanner Blvd., Covington). Bring leash, collar, and treats to class. The fee is $125 for the 6-week course.
