Some research that I wanted to share with our owners. I received a message about a Brittany acting "drunk like" walking sideways and vomiting. Be cautious if you use any of the following; ma*****na in any form, ci******es, vapes, edibles can all be toxic and we all know Brittanys will attempt to eat or chew anything they get their teefers on. Properly dispose of your butts and don't toss them on the ground. (Ni****ne butts just the same.) Here is a great link to read. PS The Brittany is ok. ♥️🙈😂

Dogs have more cannabinoid receptors in their brains than humans, making their exposure to ma*****na much more toxic.

Can you help Monty?

Sweet little Monty came into rescue on 06/04/25. He had been hit by a car, but lucky for him, a good Samaritan noticed him hobbling out of a wooded area and put him in their car, and then reached out to NBRAN to help.

Poor Monty had a broken leg, road rash and was skin and bones. It was obvious that he had been on his own for some time. He was also infested with ticks and hookworms.

On July 11th, Monty had surgery to repair his fractured leg. The fracture was old, so they needed to first remove all of dead, damaged, and infected tissue which helps to improve the healing potential of the remaining healthy tissue. All floating bone material was also removed.

Monty's leg was repaired using the standard AO technique, which involved applying a contoured plate to the lateral (tension) surface of the bone, securing it with screws to achieve compression and stability, and ensuring proper screw placement to avoid interference with the fracture line and surrounding structures.

The surgery was a success and Monty is healing well 🤗

The cost of Monty's surgery was $5500. He is now ready for physical therapy which will cost $700-$1000 PER session. At such a young age, Monty deserves the best care possible and NBRAN is willing to do that but we could use your help. Thank YOU for helping us help Monty.
