Something we don't have very often, because there's not a lot of people that have a tank appropriate for a shark that can grow to be 40" long!

The banded cat shark is popular among advanced marine aquarists, requiring a fine sand substrate and a minimum tank size of 300+ gallons. These shy, nocturnal carnivores are native to reefs and tide pools in the Indo-West Pacific, from Japan to northern Australia. They feed on shrimp, crabs, small fish, and other meaty residents in the ocean. They are often finicky eaters in captivity, but not this guy - he is taking food confidently.

We had some requests for more information on this tank, so here's a video starting in the back. It is on dollies, the wheels you see are not part of the package.

Stand is 80.25" x 28.5" x 27" tall. It is quite solid, and has one opening in the rear, set up for large canister filter.

Tank is 72.25" x 24.5" x 30.25" tall. It should be 220 gallons. It is not drilled and has no overflow, so it's best suited for freshwater. It was set up 2 weeks ago, customer downsizing home. There were no leaks when we drained it.

There are some glass top pieces, but we do not consider it a complete top set.

We are offering it at $400, and may consider reasonable offers, in person, once you have seen the tank.

With a decent cleaning this will make a nice display.
