Happy Dogust from MedVet! 🐶

Today, the unofficial birthday for thousands of rescue dogs, we’re honoring the resilience and joy that adopted dogs bring to families and the life-saving care that makes their second chance possible. These six MedVet patients prove that every dog deserves a happy, healthy life:

🐾 Kaia, a stray pup, was brought to MedVet Commerce underweight and battling parvovirus, but with intensive care and lots of love, she made a full recovery. Now she’s thriving in her forever home with her rescuer’s brother!

🐾 One‑Eyed Willie came to MedVet Hilliard after eating a whole towel! Thanks to surgery and dedicated care, he’s fully recovered and loving life with his new mom, Katie.

🐾 Miracle was found as a tiny, cold, and malnourished stray. Our MedVet Hilliard Emergency team gave her immediate care: warming her up, giving her glucose, and helping her regain her strength — and after recovering, she was adopted by the very people who found her!

🐾 Neeva developed a mild cough after being adopted, leading to a 48‑hour intensive care and oxygen therapy stay at MedVet Dayton. Today, she’s doing well and bonding with her new family.

🐾 Duke was brought to MedVet Indianapolis with a serious jaw injury that prevented him from opening his mouth. Thanks to collaborative, cutting‑edge surgery, he’s now enjoying treats, kisses, and a pain‑free life!

🐾 Sammy was diagnosed with parvo just a day after being adopted. Our MedVet Silicon Valley Critical Care team acted quickly with innovative treatments, and after nearly two weeks of intensive care, Sammy went home happy and healthy!

Each of these special dogs reminds us why we do what we do: providing expert, compassionate care so pets can live long lives with their families.

From stumbling steps to rehab rockstar! 🌟

After ongoing therapy with our Rehabilitation experts, including time on the water treadmill, Mojo is now stronger, more comfortable, and walking with confidence (no more grippy socks needed!).

We’re so proud of Mojo’s progress and thrilled to help him get back on his feet. 💙

☀️ As temperatures rise this summer, so does the risk of heatstroke in our pets.

Because dogs cannot sweat to cool themselves down, heatstroke can be extremely dangerous. However, it's also preventable if you know the signs and what to do if your pet looks like they’re overheating.

Dr. Mallory Horridge from MedVet Mandeville shares expert tips on recognizing and preventing heatstroke in pets this summer. 🧡
