Forest has a new forever home! ❤️🐒 This little guy escaped after a truck carrying 21 rhesus macaques for biomedical research crashed in Mississippi.
After spending a week on the run, the monkey, now named Forest, moved into Popcorn Park Animal Refuge in Forked River.

“Caring for Forrest is a reminder of why our work at Popcorn Park is so important,” said Cory Scott, executive director.

They’ve spent their whole lives giving us loyalty without asking for anything in return.
Now it’s our turn to give them the comfort they deserve.
Their gray faces tell stories of devotion, patience, and love.
And every moment we care for them is a beautiful way to say “thank you.”
