🐾 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! 🐾

Bruno, a 3.5-year-old Lab mix, is being surrendered back to GSARC on Monday, August 4th, through absolutely no fault of his own. 💔 His loving owner, who adopted him from us in 2022, is sadly facing serious health challenges and made the incredibly difficult but selfless decision to surrender Bruno so he can continue receiving the love and care he deserves.

Bruno is the sweetest companion — gentle, loyal, and full of love. He’s great with other dogs and children, and truly thrives when he’s with people. This sweet boy has already touched so many hearts, and we know he will do the same for his future family.

We are urgently looking for either a foster home or an adopter to welcome Bruno and give him the stability he needs.

🚨 CAUTION: IT’S HOT OUT! 🚨
On this scorching day, please remember: never leave your pet in a parked car—not even for a minute.

🌡️ Even with the windows cracked or in the shade, a car's interior can reach deadly temperatures in just 10–15 minutes. Pets can suffer brain damage or even die from heatstroke in that short amount of time.

📈 On a 70°F day, your car can hit over 100°F inside. On days like today, with temps soaring into the 90s and beyond, it becomes a death trap even faster.

🐾 If you’re out and about, leave your pets at home where it’s safe and cool. Help us spread awareness—a few moments could save a life.

🐩 Calling All Groomers! 🐩

We’re looking for a compassionate groomer willing to donate their time to help one of the dogs surrendered to us yesterday. The second dog will need to receive treatment for its matted fur in a veterinary setting. This sweet pup is moderately matted and in desperate need of a shave — not just for looks, but for comfort, health, and a fresh start.

🚨 URGENT: Medical Fund Donations Needed 🚨

These two dogs were just surrendered to us in heartbreaking condition by a backyard breeder — bringing the total to five dogs surrendered by this same individual in the past six months. This time, he surrendered them because, in his words, they “weren’t listening” and kept “running away from him” — and he simply didn’t want to be bothered with them anymore. Each time, these dogs arrive neglected, underweight, and in need of urgent care.

This time is no different. Both dogs are suffering from severe ear infections, are severely matted, and will require medical grooming due to the extent of the matting. They are also exhibiting clear behavioral signs of prior mishandling and trauma.

Despite this ongoing pattern, the individual responsible has taken zero accountability and has again refused to contribute even a portion of the surrender fee to support their care.

We didn’t hesitate. These dogs needed out — now. Their safety, dignity, and recovery matter more than anything.

But we need your help. Their medical and behavioral needs will likely be extensive, and our resources are stretched thin. Our medical fund is in urgent need of support to get these dogs the treatment and healing they deserve.
