David Nino Rodriguez just did a video showing the Rio Grand RIVER DRY in New Mexico due to a data center. Erin Brockovich is doing an investigation. Please look into this in your area. It is damaging habitats for humans and animals.

I love learning the birds’ calls so that even if I can’t see them, I know who’s chatting, arguing, or singing.
As I listen where I am now, I hear blackbirds, sparrows, starlings, mourning doves, ravens, killdeer, and hawks. Listening to birds is also a great way to meditate, even just for a minute.

Why is this important beyond the obvious attack on a seal? Because cruelty to animals is a behavior that is well documented to lead to more serious crimes. That is why if a person, especially children, are being cruel to animals in any way, correct it immediately!!

I’m so thankful that Lani, the monk seal, has been observed and appears to be OK. (Yes, I reached out to the seal and expressed concern for all the seals and rebuked the ‘man’ that threw the rock.)

I’m very appreciative the people that witnessed this attack had video proof, called it out immediately, expressed their views to him personally, and he’s been charged. Kindness is free. Be kind, especially to animals.

🚨Igor Lytvynchuk was arrested today, May 13, 2026, by special agents with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Law Enforcement after allegedly throwing a massive rock, roughly the size of a coconut, at an endangered Hawaiian monk seal named “Lani” in Lahaina, Maui. ❤️‍🩹🦭

Federal authorities say Lytvynchuk was charged by criminal complaint on May 12, 2026, for allegedly harassing and attempting to harass the endangered seal in violation of both the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammal Protection Act.

Lytvynchuk is scheduled to appear in federal court in Seattle on May 14. ⚖️

Animals pick up in the emotions of people they are around. When their person is stressed, they feel it! Remember to practice techniques to manage your stress, PTSD, and funnel that energy in more positive ways. If you won’t do it for yourself, do it for your animals. ❤️🐾❤️
