What a great year 2016 was for all of us at Far West Farms Malibu! Our horses and riders have come so far -- from cross rails to winning 1.0 m classics for one up and coming threat! -- and we cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store as we gear up for the coming shows.

Fiona Sewell wins Onondarka medal finals!!! Scoring in the top three in each round, Fiona kept her calm under pressure and aced the work off to secure the biggest win yet of her young career. It just goes to show how far a little focus, determination and hard work --and a LOT of no stirrups work-- can get you! ! We are so proud to have had Fiona as part of the Far West Farms Malibu team for the last few years and cannot wait to see where the next few take us. Special thanks to Georgy Maskrey-Segesman for leasing us her wonderful horse Karl Ernst and to Cassandra Karazissis, Nick Karazissis Sr and the Far West Farms Calabasas team for helping us get Fiona all the medal finals experience she could over the last few months.

Lola Stern and Quite Bellami Z prove to be quite the competitive duo in their first show together! Beating her own time set on Celta Yar, Lola got to carry both 2nd and 3rd place ribbons in her first ever victory gallop! Here's to many more to come!

After a fast double clear round on both Quite Bellini Z and Celta Yar brought home 2nd and 3rd in the Modified Child Adult Classic for Lola Stern, she stepped up her game for the win in the $500 Lewis Circle of Horses Low Child Adult Classic on Celta Yar. Hard to imagine a little over a year ago she was making her horse show debut in the opportunity cross rails!
