Forget-Me-Not's due date was last Friday during -35 degree wind-chill temps. We knew there was a good chance of losing the litter, so we brought her in the house and set up our dog's kennel with a nest box tote. That night she gave birth to 9 healthy kits and has been doing a wonderful job since. It's continued to be bitter cold out, so she's been staying in the house. Next week is supposed to get above freezing and we will move them then. I'll be glad to not have to clean bedding and hay constantly off my living room floor.

It's been quite a while since I last posted. Between health issues and the busyness of life, the rabbits have not been our main focus. However, we still are going and still trying to keep improving our lines. We didn't have any litters in the late spring through fall (and honestly as hot as our summer was, it probably was a good thing). We kept some kits from early in the year and grew them out to see who we were keeping with our limited space. We are now offering a few. All but Goldie are from our doe PTA Forget-Me-Not. Goldie is out of our beautiful PTA Emily who took reserve best-in-show at the Land of Lincoln show in Peoria in 2024. PTA Goldie is a fawn with a little bit of s**t, so won't be able to show her. All the rabbits are out of our buck Brink's Vegas who has earned all his legs towards his championship. Let me know if you are interested. All are sweet tempered and handled frequently. They'd make wonderful pets, a couple could do well as brood/show stock.

These three are from Caramello and Vegas's August 3rd litter. The does went to the Peoria show and Fire had good comments, but couldn't beat the senior doe as a young intermediate. She has great potential for show and breeding. Flare is not quite as nice as her sister but as she develops, she keeps improving. She's sweet tempered and would make a great pet. Flame blew his coat before the show and couldn't go. The coat is still coming in, but what I can see looks good. He's got his father's good shoulders and his mother's peak. He'll be a handsome boy when grown.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy this year so far and sickness hit our home hard in February. We hit the Peoria show and had some good competition. I only had three younger rabbits to take unfortunately, but the judges had good things to say. We wanted to go to the Bloomington show the next month but all but 1 rabbit had either blown their coats or had a litter in the nest box, so we didn't make it. We spent the day Saturday evaluating and ear tattooing, this the reason for the rabbit burrito below 😊. I will get pictures up of what is available hopefully tomorrow. Stay tuned.

If you are looking for a ready to breed older buck or doe, these two would do well. Both are very gentle with sweet personalities that would make excellent pets also. They are my last available rabbits out of Bush's Buster. Eldorado is a proven breeder and Forget-Me-Not is just now hitting the age for breeding.
