My dear human, I see you’re crying because it’s time for me to go.
But please… don’t cry.
Let me explain something to you.
I know you’re heartbroken, but I want you to know — I’m not sad. I’m grateful.
Grateful that I got to meet you.
So many dogs never get that chance… to feel loved, to be part of a family, to be someone’s everything.
But I did. I had you.
I know you’re thinking you could’ve done more —
but please don’t blame yourself.
You gave me a home, a name, your time, your kindness, your love.
And that’s more than many ever get.
You gave me a beautiful life, even if it feels like it ended too soon.
We animals, we don’t live in the past or worry about the future — we live in the moment.
And every moment with you was filled with love.
That’s when my real life began… the day I met you.
So please, don’t cry for me.
I leave with a heart full of joy.
I remember your voice, your touch, the warmth of your home — our home.
You were my whole world.
Wipe your tears, and try to smile again.
Because there are others like me, waiting for someone just like you.
Please… give them what you gave me.

Please help THE PUG QUEEN she needs us and so does little Pizza 🍕 girl 💝❤️‍🩹

$5 FRIDAY FOR EVIE? 🙏

This little girl has been though hell, and it's not over yet.

She showed up at a shelter in Bakersfield with a ruptured infected eyeball. Had it removed at the shelter. And hasn't been doing well since.

We got get into an Emergency Hospital in LA last night and she began walking in circles. The neurologist suspects maybe an infection behind the eye spreading TO HER BRAIN, or causing inflammation to her brain.

One way to tell - an MRI. We have done many MRI's in the past. To the tune of $5000. And so that's what I was expecting.

Instead, I got a quote of $10,000-$12,000. For a MRI. A diagnostic tool that may or may not give us a definitive answer. 🤯

Honestly, I find it unconscionable. I don't know who can afford these vet fees. And I can't help but ask myself, what role are the corporate business veterinary hospital & their prices play in people dumping their dogs unlike ever before? How many can afford $12k for an MRI?

I was going to post on here seeing if maybe we have someone in the position to sponsor Evie's MRI?

Or maybe we just treat proactively with meds and see if the circling stops, while looking for another hospital charges less for an MRI?

Either way, her bill is in the thousands and she really needs your help. And we will not be able to say yes to another Evie unless we all come together to save them. 😪

Hey it’s me Pru…
Dr Marcus at cleaned my teethy today and I’m sure I heard him whisper “I love you”..
Because I’m so little, a few of my baby teeth stayed and my teeth are misaligned…
I’ve had a heap of tartar and gunk build up on my teeth and gum line…
So I needed a dental to take 5 teethy out(2 x baby & 3 squished loose premolars) and clean everything...
Luckily the rest of my teeth are good now they have had cleaning…

Pru ###

Pru waa born with a congenital condition called Liver Shunt. We rescued her 10 year old pregnant mum from a pound where she had been dumped at after being sold off by a breeder. Pru was born via emergency C-section at Knox Vet Clinic

Pru showed signs of liver shunt at four weeks. She stopped feeding/suckling & had to be syringe dropped milk to keep her alive. Blood tests confirmed liver shunt. Dr Barry & the Internal Med Team at Geelong Animal Referral Services guided us through multiple daily medications to stop seizures, reflux and specially prepared vegan food for months to keep liver shunt symptoms at bay. Pru at 8 months underwent a CT scan identifying the extra vessel bypassing her liver hence her blood filtration issues.

Dr Ricky and the GARS Surgery Team performed surgery to locate the extra liver shunt vessel and clamp it off tying around it cellophane type material , to redirect blood flow correctly through Pru’s her liver, and then sutured the 10cm abdominal incision. Surgery was risky, because Pru’s body didn’t filter toxins well (waking up from anesthetic she was a seizuring risk and abdominal fluid build up risk) hence a hospital stay.

Scar tissue formed in the clamped area redirecting correctly to the liver Pru’s blood flow. And whilst she will always be tiny, 4.5kg+ fully grown, (liver shunt stunts growth) with the amazing support of the community to fund her $15,000+ care this precious girl can live a life full of lglee.

Pru’s three month post liver shunt surgery blood test “bile acids” test came back completely normal. Prior to surgery they were 200+ with (normal should be less than 30) Post surgery levels were at 1.
