So hard to believe a year ago, I was busy packing while trying to enjoy every last moment of time with my dog guests! Realizing those 8 years had been the best years of my adult life! 💞
Today is the 9th anniversary of my very first, official dog guests! Shih Tzu brothers, Brutus & Pooka. I definitely would have chosen to stay in Maitland for at least another 5 or so years, but our landlord’s debilitating stroke made the choice for us. Dropping-In to people’s homes is different but I’ve heard so many of the same comments. So many saying they finally feel like they can go on vacation! Etc. I love it, of course! But now I have preemptive guilt for when I stop dropping in too. Oh well.
Things I was NOT prepared to hear? “Are you ok with stairs?” My response, “As long as it’s not a timed event!”

For those wondering how we are doing in Powell, TN, FANTASTIC! Snow storms are like hurricanes. You know about them ahead of time, buy far too much (junk) food, fill up your gas tanks & make sure your friends have toilet paper, bread & eggs. lol.
I only had 1 client out of town all week, returning Sunday. They were surprised when I asked what their list was for me to make sure they were good, as everything was disappearing. Not my first rodeo. lol
So, wish us luck. As usual, I only hope we keep our power. But if not, we have a generator. So think warm thoughts! (Even though I’m still running around in shorts & t-shirts. I get the funniest looks!) LOVE 💕 TO ALL my furbabies!!

We are SO happy when he enjoys a Dogcation here in Powell, TN.
