Some days are hard, some days are harder. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to one of the most important members of our family after 15 years together, Quattro. He lived in retirement the last three years of his life with his long time show companion, Abracadabra. Unfortunately, Quattro was diagnosed with several tumors that had started inhibiting his quality of life. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to have this horse in our lives, he was truly one of god’s greatest gifts. He took Daniel to the $1Million GP in Saugerties, The World Equestrian Games and the Pan American Games in addition to numerous wins and placings at the International and National level. He was an amazing partner for Lindsay, taking her to her first 1.40-1.45m GP placings. He was the first horse our daughter, Natalia, ever sat on and from there she loved horses. He was one in a million, had the kindest and most intelligent eyes you’ve ever seen, and paved the way for us to build the life and farm we have now. We would like to thank everyone who had a hand in bringing this horse into our lives and caring for him over the last 15 years. Thank you to Dr. Clayton Smith, Dr. Allendorf, Dr. Frizzell, and Dr. Rey and Zoe, and Dr. Saathoff. Thank you to his long time grooms Hugo and Jorge. Thank you to Bobby Simms, his farrier. And to Marieke Slik who we purchased him from. Thank you to Great Southwest Equestrian Center for supporting his International endeavors. He will be so missed, and he holds the biggest space in our hearts. .bedoya14
