🏆Challis is a 6 year old dark grey, 15.1 hand AQHA gelding.
Challis has been one of our top picks to ride the last few years. This is an outstanding horse in so many ways. Challis is the kind of horse that you could enter a ranch horse competition, a team roping, and reined cow horse all in the same day. Challis has all the right buttons in the arena, he knows all the maneuvers is extremely correct, soft and has a huge stop. This horse has spent the last few years in our program primarily as a ranch horse where he has done absolutely everything from head and heel brandings, dragging to the fire, gathering big country, loading, sorting, and much more. He has rode the wind, the rain, the snow and is no stranger to the hard days. We have roped both ends on Challis, steer stopped and breakawayed calves as well. He is quiet in the box, scores well and would fit a wide number of ropers. Challis has all the speed you could need, the big stop, and is extremely cowy. Challis also is not just a performance horse, but he is extremely quiet and gentle. He has been rode by complete beginners, kids and is safe and dependable. He is very content to walk out in the hills, cross rivers, or take a stroll down Broadway. Turn him out for 6 months and he saddles up and rides off like you never skipped a day. Very tidy in his stall and good to clip, bathe, and shoe. Challis is up to date on all dental, farrier, vaccines, and wormer.
