The puppies are starting to play with toys, tug on things, bounce around with each other, and consistently seek out human contact-- they love to follow me around the yard (very cute as they bounce more than run right now). I am watching each puppy carefully (I can tell them apart by their white patches) and seeing good things- every puppy seeks out the human, enjoys playing, and observes well. PM with questions.

The "C" litter is now 3 weeks old, and I am liking what I am seeing in these pups. Lots of interest in connecting with a human, and alert and tuned in to the world around them.

I want to take a minute to talk honestly about what I’m looking for in a home for one of my pups.

These are not typical pet dogs. They’re working-bred Belgian Tervuren from strong Malinois lines.

The sire is titled IGP3 and a dual-purpose Police K9, and the dam is a stable, social female out of KNPV lines. These dogs were bred with a purpose — not just to look a certain way or win titles, but to be capable, responsive, naturally alert and protective, and truly alive in their work.

That said… what matters most to me isn’t what a buyer has done in the past. I’m not just looking for someone with trophies or titles.

I’m looking for people who are willing to show up for the dog in front of them.

Someone who doesn’t want to force a square peg into a round hole. Someone who’s not afraid to ask questions, to shift methods, to listen.

These dogs require structure, yes. Daily exercise. Boundaries, clarity, consistency. But they also need connection. They need to be seen for who they are — and allowed to grow into what they’re capable of by seeing the whole dog, not pressured into a preset mold.

I’m especially open to people working under a mentor, or those who may be new to working dogs but are deeply committed to learning — people who understand that living and committing to a dog like this is a lifestyle, not a hobby.

I also want to be clear: this is about loving the dog--- for life. Not just for drive or obedience or performance — but the kind of love that keeps showing up. That doesn’t discard a dog when things get hard. That says: this is my partner, and we are in it together.

Two weeks old-- eyes are open, pups are crawling, and the fun is about the begin!

The "C" litter is already a week old.
Alligator Clever Fox (IGP3) X Official Star de la Rouquine (BH).
The brood of 2 females, 4 males, are growing fast, eating hardy, moving about, and resting. The coloring on them all is a deep pigmented red, with black on the legs and neck, black mask, and a white star (from both parents) on the chest. I love watching them nurse and sleep. Mama Moriah is a seasoned mother now and enjoying her litter of pups.

Mama Moriah watches Alligator Clever Fox complete the C protection phase of Cacit, while babies nurse. She paid close attention! Two very fiesty girls, 4 active boys. I may have 1 male looking for the right place.

Alligator Clever Fox just finished competing at Cacit Dobris, placing third with scores of 100-92-91. His attitude and energy shine through in his work and he clearly enjoys it. I can see him and Moriah in the puppies even at just 4 days old. I expect some very high attitude, eager to work dogs, as this joie de vivre is prominent in both sire and dam.

Mama's little helper-- Sassy helps her Mama excavate a nice big and comfortable den under a tree root --- both girls are working hard getting ready for these babies. Sassy looks very proud while Moriah appreciates her help!

It's been a hot couple days but my new property is about 5 degrees cooler than the lower areas around us, and also full of creeks and water. So Moriah can get her healthy exercise and still find plenty of ways to stay cool. She is looking very round, but is glowing with health and very happy. About 2.5 weeks to go!
